How to Put an Url or Link into a Graphic

Hello:

How do I make and url or a link embedded into a picture - I see them in other posts. All I know how to do is actually copy and paste the url...

Some might call that hot-linking.

Using square brackets rather than stars, encase the URL in *img* and */img* tags.

Post your picture.

Then click on it and add a URL using the globe icon.

I must be dense, when I click on the image nothing happens, and there is no editor once it's posted. If I go to edit, advanced I can see the url. Where do I insert the link?
