Hi, I just bought a new Cannon Power Shot and took some pics of the beach surge due to the storm Noel. It seems that my pics are too big...They're 1.34 mb instead of 488 kb. Does this mean I can't use my camera to post pics?

I can't make the pics any smaller. Anyone have an ideas? Tried to copy and paste to Word but they were still too big.

Thanks,

Kathy Ellen

Go to Goggle and download one of the free RESIZING programs that are available. I too use Cannon and can download to my computer and resize right within the Cannon program. Check your instruction manual that came with your camera.

Hi Lon and Angel,

Thank you sooooo much for responding to my post. Yes, I will try both ways as soon as I can. I'll let you know if it works.

Yes, I do have photobucket Angel.....I love the pics there.

Thanks again,

Kathy Ellen

It`s best to keep your camera on the larger size setting as you can easily make them smaller, but not larger. I keep mine at 5 mg. that way I can crop in for a closer look at a bird or whatever. I have a 12 x optical zoom, but even that`s not enough sometimes.

BTW, if you have Windows XP, you can download windows powertools which enables you to just right click on the image to resize. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx
