Proposal: Cheezeburger Contest

Sheryl had a cute idea.

We post a cat picture with no caption. After 4 or 5 days viewers can vote in a poll for the best caption for that pic.

It will then be properly Photoshopped, added to the cheezburger thread and submitted to icanhascheezburger.com.

Anyone game?

I have zillions of pics of puddin' tater...I tried to put one on here last night of him in the dryer, but it was WAY to large, and I couldn't get it to re-size, so I gave up, I found another fun one....I'll start with this one...we could have a whole page of puddin' tater pics!! :p

'K. Let's do a test run with puddin. Just to see how it works out.

If it goes smoothly send your pics to me via PM. I'll also post my own and perhaps Sheryl would like to help? Or else she can just play along.

Ok guys here's the official rules for the game!

1. Jack and I will randomly choose a picture for you guys to caption.

2. You will have 4 days to submit your caption. Right now, let's leave it at one submission per person. PM me your submission.

3. After the 4 days are up, I will create a poll with all the submissions. We are gonna limit voting to 3 days.

4. A discussion thread will be created to go with each poll. Please place your comments there.

We are gonna try to post these so the creators are anonymous and voting is fair. Winners will have their creation posted on the Icancheezeburger site.

Did I leave anything out Jack? :wah:

Oh if you have a great cat pic you would like to see captioned, please PM it to me or Jack!

Are you going to run them all in one thread or have Cat Cheeze 1, Cat Cheeze 2 etc?

It might help to keep people from not reading the whole thread and posting captions for pics that have already been finished.

I put that first pic in a new thread called Cat Cheeze 1 but got distracted.

Thanks to WW for posting the rules underneath it.

if the submissions are being PMed to Sheryl or JD, then the thread with the picture can be the comment thread. A poll can be added at the end of the three days.

4 days of submission and 3 days of voting.

Yes change that title to Cheezeburger comments and we'll post the first pic. I'm still discussing things with the producer.

Don't worry Wendy. Puddin will get plenty of showings. And YZGI's submission is noted.

Friday's are new cat days. Sheryl will have to take the brunt of the caption submissions as she is a paying member and can accept the PM's.

Monday at midnight is the cutoff with voting beginning on Tuesday, winner announced on Thursday.

First contestant coming soon.

That would be too confusing. I just deleted the thread I created so there is only one picture out there at a time.

Because you are taking the caption submissions by PM what else is that thread for? It seems silly to have a second one and leave the Cheezeburger 1 thread with a single post. The poll can be added to that thread after 4 days, I just need to know what the submissions are and there can only be 10 per poll.

You should edit in some basic instructions with that photo in the new thread.

I'll just wait until I'm told to do something on this one. :wah:

They can discuss in the thread with the picture, however I'll create the poll thread after the 4 days are up. We realized about the limit on poll, so we'll have a 3rd party choose the top 10 from the captions submitted. . However that person will not know who wrote what.
