To start the ball rolling here's mine;

Two summer's ago I took a hayfever tablet before walking my daughter to the opticians for an eye test. When we left to go home I was walking back with her thinking 'I'm sure those tablets are non-drowsy, how come I feel so sleepy?'

Looked at the medication when I got home and discovered that I'd picked up the wrong packet and taken a sleeping tablet!!! Had to have a little nap :thinking::D

Erm, I stole a bicycle once and rode it into the Izar river when I was drunk in Munich, that was fairly stupid as I would have been deported if the Poletzi had caught me, and I needed the money to pay back the family that paid for me to fly back to my dad's funeral, and also I can't swim, but there you go.

Lsat spring right after I just got my new van,I was parked on a hill with emergency brake set. As I was leaving I put the van in drive,it wouldn't go. E brake on(silly me) I couldn't release it....stuck very tight. So I got the bright idea to get out, to have a better pull at it. It was still in DRIVE.......

I saw my vans tail lights pass me,before I could blink my eye,It shot off like a rocket. Luckly the door was still open,and I was able to run after it and jump in and hit the break. And even more lucky,my daughter wasn't with me.

About seven years ago, it was the middle of the night and my son was about 7 or 8 he wanted the fan up higher, so I bent down behind the fan, it sucked my very long hair through and chopped off a section of it, ooooohhh, all I could do is laugh.

I was thinking of linking my "setting my kitchen on fire" post from a while back....but that is only one of so so so many things I've done that are stupid....

one of the funny things when I was a kid was a girlfriend and I stood at the end of my road with nothing but a bathrobe and towel on our head and just watched cars go by!!.....and well...it was fun...I was about 15....at least I didn't fall for "snipe huntin"!!:wah:

These are brilliant! Keep them coming................

another one...my friend and I were very drunk and walking the 3 miles back to my parents house to crash for the night. We were walking down a dual carriageway when I remembered seeing on a tv program how cats eyes are cleaned (by cars driving over them and pushing them down into their setting in the road), I decided that the ones in the middle of the road weren't clean, so at 3am the two of us were walking down the middle of the road taking turns to stand on the cats eyes to clean them!!! (lucky for us no traffic!)

When I was about 14, me and two of my friends were sitting on a (somewhat) long and tall train bridge. A train started comming. we got up to hurry to the other side. Around the bend another train started comming the other way.

WE FREAKED OUT. we ran back to the middle,held on to each other for dear life. there was only about a foot or so to stand on. we thought about jumping,but it was too high. so we just stood there in a line holding on to each other,screaming our heads off. the sound of the trains was deafening.

Thank GOD the train never touched any of us. we all would have been drug down the tracks.

My mother still doesn't know about that to this day.

When I was 14 I had a summer job in Northern Ontario in Canada. We were loading a back of a pick up truck full of gravel, but had to haul the gravel up by bucket loads up the side of a steep hill from a beach front to thow into the back of the truck. The truck was parked a short bit away but getting tired and fed up with the trips up to the truck, the boss threw me the keys to the truck and asked me to back it up closer to the edge of the cliff.

I agreed instantly as would any kid being asked to drive a truck, and reversed the feck’n thing right over the side of the cliff. I jumped out just as it was going vertical and only heard it bouncing its way all the way down the hill with a final big splash as it went into the lake.

I think they would have killed me if they didn’t find the whole thing so funny.

The truck started up and they had to drive along the waterfront for almost a mile before they could get to a path to get it out. It was the topic of conversation around dinner for the rest of the summer.
