Ok I think I have the worst date story of all time :-3 I was in college and very shy so I rarely dated at all. A quiet, studious looking fellow asked me out and I thought why not? So, he arrives with his canoe on top of his tiny compact Datsun, and I am upset to find he drives like a maniac!. We are going down very winding country roads so fast the canoe spins sideways a couple of times, which I can see by the shadow of it. Finally we get there (where I don't know, I was so scared, I forgot to watch where we were going). We have only gotten about half way across the lake when he intentionally turns the canoe over. I am a good swimmer, but I had worn heavy jeans and a long sleeved shirt and they seem to weigh about 50 pounds as I swam over to an inlet. Then when he has me where I am totally alone with him, he starts telling me he's into satanism. Ok, so I'm trying to think fast and figure out an escape, and there is none. I decide I have to turn him off. I mention that my mom is a minister and that I am very interested in theology. He says he loves Black Sabbath and I say I love Donny and Marie! I think it worked - he looked a little sick, and I also wouldn't let him get near me, so other than the scary drive home, I got out ok. He followed me around campus for awhile, and I later learned he was a total drug-head. So much for my attempts at character judgement! :o

My worst date was with a guy named Dan. I should have known better the very first time he called himself "Dan the Man". But, no, I was an idiot. He picked me up and we went to a racetrack, where supposedly, he had "connections" and could get us into areas of the track most people couldn't get to. I'm not a big racing fan, but I like being around horses, so..ok. Now, the racetrack in my town is not the most "posh", and the area we hung out while he placed his bets was disgusting. His buddy who was supposed to get us into the restricted areas was nowhere to be found. Being a good sport, I sucked it up and followed him around. For a while. When it became apparent he planned on staying in this seedy place ALL night, I suggested getting a bite to eat. AWAY from the track. He grudgingly took me to a restaurant nearby, asked me to pay half the bill, and wanted to go back to the track. I nixed this and asked to go to the local watering hole. (I was still drinking at the time.) We got there and he grabbed a table, sat down and said "I'll have a long island iced tea." I stood there for a second, a tad peeved, and went up to get our drinks. I came back to find my date with a waitress in HIS LAP. Now, this is just a date, granted, but that was about all I could take. I handed the girl my drink, set Dan's down in front of him, reached over to get my purse, and accidentally/on purpose knocked over his drink into his lap. Well, THEIR laps. She was still sitting on him. I felt bad for her, because WTF did she know, but I hate being disrespected that way. So, I got a cab, and went home. Funny thing is, he showed up at the bar I was working in the next day and ASKED ME OUT AGAIN!!! I started laughing and couldn't stop so he eventually just left. :yh_rotfl

The worst date I ever had was when I started dating after the death of my first wife. It was a blind date made on the phone after a female friend suggested that I call her. I was pleasantly surprised at what a knockout she was when I met her at her front door. In the car on the way to dinner she said "listen, when you bring me home tonight after dinner, don't tell me you will call me, I've heard enough of that crap". I replied "OK, I promise I will not call you". I turned the car around and dropped her off at the front of her house. Never ever saw her again. Hey----I don't need that crap.

Kooter Floyd inventor of Kooters bar b que sauce.. Went to a horrible restaurant, he didnt have money to pay the bill.. he talked about sauce recipes all the way there and all the way back. Some guy years ago talked me into going skiing. Upstate New York. His car had a vapor lock in the gas tank. It was about 6 degrees below zero. We were stranded on the side of the road. No heat. My feet were blocks of ice. It wasnt fair because it wasnt his fault but I hated him.

my worst date ahahahahaha gawd

Was a lunch date via an internet dating service we agreed to meet at the pub for lunch. It was an ancient place with ancient staff and the waitress who served us was equally ancient, trying to look young. Well she the witress hit on me. Yep... kept trying to nudge in on our conversations, rubbed my arm, told me what I should choose on the menu, gave me her name, told me to come back again. All the while my date laughed and thought it quite funny. I have never had another woman try and pick me up before. Talk about embarassing. Fortunately I didn't like the guy much either so had no problems ditching him.

I've had a couple of bad ones. One, like the canoe trip earlier, was due to bad driving. Eager to prove how much control he had over his vehicle, my date sped recklessly over loose gravel mountain roads. I kept making comments like "The thing about having a child is you no longer just want to live...you HAVE to live." He didn't get these subtle hints and eventually, as was inevitable, the truck went into a slide going around a bend. Headed straight over the cliff. I gripped the dash and arm rest beside me, frozen in fear. He managed to swerve out of the slide. Now we were heading straight for the mountain rock. Still silent and frozen I held tight as we fishtailed and swerved one last time towards the cliff edge, the truck having seemed to have lost all traction. I went inside myself as we headed towards our doom. "Am I going to die?" I urgently asked of my spirit guide. "No." The answer was clear and strong. I braced myself, not knowing if I would end up in a coma or crippled for life but knowing I at least had a chance. At the last minute, we swerved again and the road returned. My date slowed the vehicle. About five minutes went by before he muttered "I'm sorry." We drove in silence for the next hour and a half until I was home. I still see him as he is a friend of a friend...but I will never get in a vehicle with him again.

ROFL! Now that's good comedy!

OK, so I met the girl I eventually married. Our first date was a dream come true, a fun getaway weekend to a beautiful mountain resort in Durango with another fun couple.

Our second date however....

She went out to a pub with me, a few of her girlfriends were already there. They began to buy round after round of hard drinks. I sat back and tried to be suave, I only drink beer, never the hard stuff.

My poor girl doesn't drink at all, but I didn't know that then. I think she was trying to impress me or something, but she quickly went right off the deep end. Worse yet, her "friends" took advantage of her by charging the next five rounds in a row to her. I wanted to intervene, but I still barely knew her and for all I knew, this was normal. She certainly didn't seem upset by it.

Within 2 hours she was out-of-her-gourd drunk. Suddenly, she realized that they had all stuck her with the tab, to the tune of $200. She went ballistic, started screaming at them and began throwing all the contents of her purse at them including her credit cards. She continued this out into the parking lot with me following behind, trying to collect everything she threw.

I took her home and tucked her in. The next morning she was a little sheepish and explained that she didn't drink at all. I smiled and tried not to laugh outwardly.

I've been married to her for 11 years now and she's never drank again.

Some days I look back and think to myself, what in gods name was I thinking. I was very very naive as a young woman and boy did I get into a few very awkward situations.

She said she did not drink.

She said she would order a beer and that I would probabally have to finish it.

So before the date I met her parents at her Chruch. It was around Christmas so I ate a bunch of nuts which I am alergic.

Also ate cherries which I am alergic.

Then we went to the bar to play pool.

We meet up with her old friends and I tried to keep up with this non drinker.

I quit trying to keep up after about 10 drinks.

I was very gone by this point as I had not gone over 4 drinks in years and years.

Now our previous date had gone quite well.

Anyway, I ended up spending most of the time talking to one of her friends as she keept dancing with other guys. She also spent quit a bit of time trying to get her friends boyfriend to come to the bar.

Eventually we went to her friend's boyfriend and it became more and more apparent that something was going on between her friend's boyfriend and her.

After sleeping off the drinking binge I started to go back to my car and the cold air plus me eating things I'm alegeric to left me unable to breath. The cell phone would not work in that part of WY. Unable to find my car I walked to the hospital. And I started being able to breath a bit as I got to the hospital so I no longer needed medical attention.

After out drinking me she still tried to claim that she is a non drinker. How much denial can a person have?

Only one that really popped into my head was with a guy who bored me silly and took me to see an action movie, I can't even remember what it was called, I fell asleep... The movie was all he could understand, very little script, plot etc.

After my divorce from my first husband, I went out with a guy I dated in high school. We went to the drive in and when he wasn't telling me how great he was, he was trying to put the moves on me. He took me home, came in, and I locked myself in the bathroom and refused to come out until he left. What a shame, I never heard from him again. :D

Easy to describe my worst date. A mutual friend had arranged it. We met in a street outside a tube station; she was absolutely horrified at my long hair, jeans, Cockney accent, views, etc I was absolutely horrified by her looks, attitude, opinions, etc. I went and caught the next train back in less than 5 minutes!!!

This wasn't exactly a date, as we met in a nightclub, got chatting and drinking together, had a slow dance etc, the evening ended and he said he'd walk me home. Off we set, he hadn't asked me where i lived but he seemed to know the way, so I questioned this, his reply was that he'd seen me accross the street from where he lives. I started racking my brain, I only lived in a small close-knit street, why didn't I know him?? Then it a dawned on me, a young 'married' couple with two young children had moved in opposite our house that day, he was the husband of the very nice lady I'd acknowledged earlier in the day!
