I make cheesecakes quite often, and there is definately a noticeable difference with immitation or generic cream cheeses. None are better, IMO, than Philly.

Yah, cream cheese on Ritz crackers.....tastes rich. I think this because when I was a small child I had a friend who was a child actress. She had a portfolio and an agent. Her sisters and brother did also. She has a twin sister named Feline. We lived in N. Hollywood where lots of our neighbors were in the movies somehow or another. Anyway, this particular family was interesting. And my friend, her name is Rene, would eat cream cheese on Ritz and she'd walk around eating them and come over to my house and get me and we'd eat that. It just tasted so good. I still like that.

Well I recommend that you try the flavored Philly Cream Cheese like Strawberry, Pineapple, and Honey Nut. These will definitely add a little sweetness.

Here is a link that will show you all the flavors and have something for your preference.

I agree!

It is also very interesting to see the responses, especially noticing that many like HOT!:lips: or jalapeno flavored. From personal experience i know that there is usually a certain culture or demographic that likes everything with jalapeno. (like myself)

I think it is great to see these traits blend in with others and others' enjoy them.

Go! Jalapenos! They are good with everything and anything.

jalapeno Cream Cheese anyone? good idea. I'm loving it.

How does this sound? Just to be creative.

Toast some wheat bread

Spread Philadelphia Cream Cheese

Lay Some Jalapenos sliced strips from top to bottom (or butter jalapenos)

Add a few Jalapeno juice drops from the contents to make it juciy.

(They also sell the canned jalapenos mixed with carrots and onions Escabeche)

Voila!

Wow!:-5 I want some now!

yea my famliy is like that too.. turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie

the usual you know. since were talking about cheese i came across this. its a little different than the traditional pumkin pie..

Double layer Pumpkin Pie

4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1 Tbsp. milk

1 Tbsp. sugar

1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

1 HONEY MAID Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.)

1 cup milk

1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin

2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp. ground ginger

1/4 tsp. ground cloves

MIX cream cheese, 1 Tbsp. milk and the sugar in large bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Gently stir in half of the whipped topping. Spread onto bottom of crust.

POUR 1 cup milk into large bowl. Add pumpkin, dry pudding mixes and spices. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. (Mixture will be thick.) Spread over cream cheese layer.

REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until set. Top with remaining whipped topping just before serving. Store leftover pie in refrigerator.

I cant wait for thanksgiving :yh_party
