A Really Good Cookbook

Post by RedGlitter »

I recently got a copy of "Fix It and Forget It - Comforting Slow Cooker Recipes." This one is for slow cookers (aka crockpots) only but they have a diabetic version and another version for oven cooking. It's published by Good books.

I REALLY LOVE this cookbook! Many of the recipes could be considered "comfort food." All the recipes are regional and there are even recipes for Minnesota hotdish.

All the recipes use 5 ingredients or less.

I give this cookbook the honorable Wooden Spoon Award.

If I'm remembering correctly this cookbook was on my mother's shelf when I was growing up. I should probably get hold of it because I need some of that type of cooking, easily devoured by family and easy to cook too. I'm pretty much a vegetarian though and sometimes I find that these comfort food cookbooks haven't accomadated vegetarians yet. Maybe it's impossible to do so and still be the comfort food you're talking about.
