well it's February and the pressure is on, you're supposed to come up with something romantic :-4 what are you going to do? i was thinking of sending my sweetheart a plane ticket to meet me in miami and then a month together sailing down in the keys on the outside, dolphins riding the bow wake, living on the hook, following the southern cross....key largo, tavernier, islamorada, matecumbe, big pine, little torch, boca chica, key west...sunsets and margaritas. all to a jimmy buffett soundtrack, moonlight through palm fronds rustling in the sea breeze, ice cold oysters and beer, hot sand, cool blue water, diving naked for lobsters and fish.

I try not to think about valentines until after groundhogs day :-3

Not sure what we are doing, last year was a write off... we arranged to meet 3 other couples from the club at a local restaurant and when we arrived it was an absolute zoo - and the people that arranged it had forgotten to get a reservation. So they said a 2 hour wait for table...

Paul and I took off and stopped at the drive thru on the way home :D

Diving naked for lobsters sounds dangerous, you see the claws those things have??

Poly & Carla ~ there is someone out there for you, we just have to figure out how to get your paths to cross :)

VD is just not a big thing with me, never has been... I am very content without celebrating events like this.

Carla, I always get Noel candy though ~ like your Mom, and we do her valentines to give out at school :-)

Thanks again >>^..^<<. Infact my eyes and ears are at alert now as I don't wanna waste no opportunity. Any tips on the right person or should I just trust my instincts when I meet a lady?

Trust your instincts... all of them especially your ears. I could give you advise out the nose holes if you like, but I think the best is use caution and be open minded, and try one or 2 dates with different scenarios. And also go in with the "I just might like to try that" attiduted. I mean if she suggests an event you have never done before don't automatically say no, give it a try, you wont' know till you try. Also don't fall for anyone who is needy, mentally unstable, has an ex she can't stop talking about. hehehehe that is just the tip of my advice.

A box of chocolates, a bottle of wine and a bouquet of flowers that is shared sounds like a good time to me.

That's why I said a box shared? You'll both have to work off the extra weight. Does anyone know how many calories hot kissing necking burns off?

VD day is our BIG day here in ths florist. Weve been getting ready for a couple of weeks now. I get to see hundeads of people come in to buy things for the people they love. Our roses are 55.00 75.00 and 95.oo dollars a dozen. It has always been my favorite holiday in flower shops. Its a day when everyone is sheepish and sweet. But theres no one for me.....As I put chocolate in peoples arrangements.. I eat one. And I always have flowers in my room.Maybe this year..................

Cass, you simply must stop calling valentine's day "VD".....call it 'hallmark stock-owners' dividend $$$ day' or something. :) ...some of us don't HURL at the mere thought of romance, shakespeare and sonnets, ballads and hearts beating as one......... :-4
