Thanks guys. I'm over the moon about this. It's a behavior management unit, meaning kids with emotional disabilities along with other disabilities. I got a good description of the ones who are returning, so I have some idea what I'm in for.

This is going to be a real challenge, but I'm certain I'm up for it.

You ARE a teacher but that's nothing new. You will now be an employed teacher sharing the blessing of your knowledge and special ability to give it to others. The children you teach will benefit from what you will so capably give them the rest of their lives.

Congratulations, Accountable. My littlest one has some special needs and the school team has been completely wonderful. He'll be completely fine, down the track a bit. In the kindergarten year there is also a partially autistic little girl and a blind boy. All the children are thriving. Very best wishes. I take off my hat to all who work to help such children.

Accountable that is most Admirable. Congratulations, I wish you well. You will be a melting puddle of goo the first time one of those kids says "thank you mister accountable"

I did a short stint of volunteer work with High Risk kids one year the hard core ADHD, Anger issue, street kids, etc. And I remember the first thank you was the best feeling ever.

You're right, Minks. Just today I went to sign a letter of intent. Seems that nothing's official until the Board blesses it. Anyway, the lady says "Sign here". beside my name was a comma and "Teacher". I damn near choked up.
