Hitting the road

Well, Ill be on the road by 10am this morning, for the trip down to St. Simons.

I wanted to leave earlier, but I have an appointment first, at 9am.

Its a nine hour drive. Very pretty through North Carolina, I dont mind, but it would be so great if I had some company. The miles fly when you have someone to talk to, and laugh with. Ill just have to talk to myself. I think people get a big kick out of seeing me laughing, behind the wheel, when noone is in the passanger seat, I was born to entertain!! The newspaper called to give me my first assignment this past Thursday. It was about a local woman who had a complaint with our local YMCA. When I told her I was going away for the week, She said.." Ok, do me a travel piece on St. Simons.

So... this is it. A little vacation, and a mission while Im down there.

Next time I write... I will be surrounded by spanish moss, the sound of the ocean, and little lizards running past my feet. Talk to you all soon.

Have a great trip Weeder, I'm so envious, can think of nothing better than getting away on my own, no arguing kids, no mess to clear up and peace and quiet, ahh bliss :-4

What's the speed limit in the US? Is it true it's 50 miles an hour?
