- but it has now departed. Actually it went an hour ago but nobody's posted since. I'm checking that it can be done.

So what happened then? Was the site hacked?

The reason I ask is because when I could not get on I pinged the server and it responded OK, so I then tried to access through a proxy and the site tried to download an MS DOS file to my system - not good

There was, to the best of my knowledge, no systems maintenance planned. I'm trying to get Admin to fix the system clock - if that's what's throwing everyone's posts adrift - and then we'll be back on course.
