I need your help

I am in a major fight between to friends of mine i feel like its my fault but i've been told i havnt done anything wrong heres how it went down. A couple of weeks ago i bought a disk disk from a friend of mine with some pictures on it and told me not to tell that other friend that i bought the disk from him but when i looked at the disk their were some pictures on their i never knew i was getting so i told my other friend about that and now hes pissed of @ my other friend for selling some stuff of his behind their back.

I need help i feel as if i caused this

Well...ok, ML. I see where you could feel caught in this but I don't think you're really at fault for anything. If there is any fault, I would stick it on the friend who sold you the disk because that friend evidently knew the other friend would get upset about the photos and he or she probably shouldn't have sold it to you for that reason. And maybe I would be upset too if I were in that spot. It might depend on if these were graphic photos of me or just regular ones.

But that said, it doesn't sound like it has to be made into a real big incident. Are you able to communicate pretty well with these two? I'm not saying you have anything to be sorry for, but maybe if you just offer an apology anyway or even offer to return the disk or buy another without the offending photos, you could smoothe things over. Stuff like this usually has a way of working out okay.

Take a big step back, nothing you can do now but wait for them to calm down. In future though I if a friend asks you not to say anything then don't, it's never worth it. If you had a problem with what was on the disc, you should of gone back to the friend which gave it to you.

Try not to worry, it'll all be forgotten in a couple of weeks :-6

Thanks for the advice but now i'm being called a backstabber & a liar just because i said i wouldnt tell my mate about the pics on the disk and now i've told him my other mate is pissed of and all i was doing was being honest

Boy, don't you hate these situations?

Well, maybe you're going to have to tell that person to build a bridge and get over it but I'd give it a week maybe to see ifthey chill out before I resorted to that. I know you feel pretty crappy now but I agree with Suzy that this will most likely blow over with a little time. Let us know how it comes along.

I keep thinking of what kind of photos would compel me to tell the other person... and what kind of photos would spark a battle.

If I got a disk that had those kind of photos on it and discovered that some of those kinds of photos were of a mate... gosh! I'd tell them!

But other than those kind of photos, I can't think of why it even mattered enough to say something.

That's what I mean.

If I got a disk from a friend and they were putting personal photos of people without their knowledge onto disks that got handed out I would definitely tell them. Other than that... who cares what photos I got? I can't think of anything else that would compel me to mention it.

If that was the case I would tell the guy who gave me the disc that I was going to tell the other person, so it was all up and above board. Then take a big step back :wah:

Musiclover...Red Glitter and Suzy covered this...it will blow over in time, and if not, well good friends are really hard to come by in a lifetime and just mark it up as a bad experience. You are very young...my guess is this won't be the last time you make a mistake, the key is to learn from it!:)

I'm not sure I'm following all this. Why would you buy a disk with pictures from a friend, if those pictures were of your other friend? And didn't it strike you as odd that the friend who sold you the disk was telling you not to tell your other friend as you were buying it? Wouldn't that sound like trouble from the start? I'm confused.... which isn't unusual I guess. :rolleyes:

As for the conflict. If it's all about the pictures, why not just give them to your friend who they're of, and that way your friend doesn't feel betrayed or whatever. If the pics are something you weren't expecting, why would you want to keep them anyway?

Maybe I just don't understand the whole story....

Nope my other friend is still talkin to me cause i told him what was goin on behind his back but the other friend i have hasnt talked to its been a couple of weeks now he should get over it

Oh...yeah it sounds like maybe that was the friend with the problem after all. Glad you managed to save the one friend though.
