Howdy all. I'd been lurking around for a while and finally decided to join in the conversations. I'm a 29 year old guy who lives in fabulous Columbus, Ohio. I grew up in the magical land of Ice, hence my flag and screenname, on a NATO base. I work as an Aircraft Mechanic for the United States Air Force and, yes, I've been there. When I'm not defending freedom (or oppressing other Nations, depending on your view of it) I'm a Soccer Nut, Part-time Chef (cooking dinner as I type), Tamer of Wild Beasts (my cat, sort of), Avid Martial Artist, Indentured Servant (to my wife), Amateur Gardener, Closet Trekkie, and a Child of the 80s that never grew up. I'm married to a woman that I don't deserve (meaning she's too good for me, not the other way around :D ) and generally like to talk.

I guess these are the abc's of me. Hope to add something of substance to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome! I changed that pronunciation when I moved back to the States. And before you ask, United (Manchester, of course. As if I'd ever call another side 'United' :sneaky: ), even though my favorite player is at Craven Cottage (McBride).

Immigrant Song - Led Zepplin

"We come from the land of the ice and snow,

from the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.

The hammer of the gods

Will drive our ships to new lands,

To fight the horde, singing and crying:

Valhalla, I am coming!

On we sweep with threshing oar,

Our only goal will be the western shore."

Very good, Zinky. :guitarist

Wow, hasn't even seen me post about football yet.

lives miles away from the ground

Haven't always lived in the States. Try reading the full intro :lips:

never been to a game

Again with the assumptions. Wow. Actually, I got down from Iceland to OT about five times a year (my dad's best friend is an RAF pilot) for 10 years. Not bad for your average yank.

Does a 4x4 count as a hair dresser's car? And my other ride's pic is in my sig.

thanks, i think.....

Hello Mid Sun, welcome to the board game.

Enjoy your stay and don't worry to much about the fruits and nuts, they add flavor to the garden, any questions you may have feel free to ask in the "ask *insert any member name* anything" threads. Or anybody really and if you ask many people somebody is bound to prove helpful.

Seriously, just enjoy yourself. :D

Cheers
