a good beer :)

Ok honestly one of my fave simple pleasures is a cup of coffee on a sunny weekend morning either lying in bed or out in the sun on my little front porch. Love it.

Others

Time with my grandson

time with my daughters

a drive in the country

She said it. Minks said it. The first thing I thought was, 'morning coffee'. Alone, quiet house, checking emails, just the calm before the day starts and then doesn't end until way past many multi-tasking frustrations and "the schedule" ends. Then the simple pleasure is pjs' and tv or a book. It is all about the little things, isn't it?

Or, getting into bed after a long day, clean sheets, maybe even dried outside!

Gazing up at a clear night sky, preferably in the desert or some other locale where there's no light pollution. You're literally gazing into the distant past when you do that.

Morning coffee on the balcony, sun coming up. (A year ago I'd have added "with the first and second cigarettes of the day" but not any more. {sigh!})

Reading the newspaper at a sidewalk table outside of a coffee shop.

Riding my bicycle in the crisp morning air, or in the heat of a late afternoon. :-6

Cheese and Pickle sandwich.

Had loads when I was a kid as that was all we were given so when I got to choose my own food never touched them again. Now 20 years on rediscovered them and yummy.

Simple pleasures for me: waking up to a clean house, laying around on a Sat. and doing very little...taking a walk in the springtime in the woods...just to name a few...

Walking through Autumn leaves.

The smell of fresh cut grass.

The first flowers of spring.

A little childs laughter.

My first morning cup of tea.
