loneliness

it hits you in a crowd..slams into your chest

the emptyness of your life

the sacrifices made

it cuts through your heart as sharp as any knife

day in day out

you get up and make it through your day

always longing to hear the words that only a man can say

beyond the words you need them to come from his heart

otherwise they are only sounds bouncing around an empty room

as empty as the dreams that are slowly ....

slipping away
