I chuck them! I'm kind of superstitious about some things but not chain letters. I especially hate the ones where the previous person writes "Sorry to do this to you but I'm not gonna break the chain!!!" I'm like "Yeah? Well I am!" DELETE! Can't stand those things!!

The thing is this, at the end there was a message "Send this to 7 people you know or you will die in 7 days". I deleted the message and am going to have strong words with the person who sent this sh1te in the first place. Yes i know the person who sent this otherwise it would have gone straight to the junk folder.

Has anybody else had this sort of mail, do you send them on or delete them like i did?

I just treat them with the contempt they deserve. They usually start off with nonsense like "This chain letter has brought good fortune to millions of people who have followed the instructions..." It has been mathematically proved time and time again that if what they claimed was true, the letter would have been read by every person in the world something incredible like four thousand times over. I read them for entertainment value only, and then just bin them. Any bad luck that has come my way has been self-inflicted. I can't for the life of me understand why people worry about this type of rubbish.

I get that stuff all time time, my friends are so silly.

They even do chain text messages, it's so irritating. If anyone really believes they will die from not forwarding something, they are silly.

I delete them. If I even suspect it is yet another chain email, I delete it without opening it. It really drives me bonkers that there is a group of us at work who email each other. It is quite annoying to get the same email from 6 different people.

"you must pass this thread on to everyone you know! you won't believe what happens! I didn't believe it either! It really works! Make sure you read it! Forward it to 942 of your closest friends! It really works! don't delete this message or you will have 14 1/2 years of bad luck!"

Idgie, You took the words right out my mouth. :-3 In fact just this week I informed my office mate of this same thing. And to add to that, there is a certain person in our organization who forwards several of these emails on a daily basis to at least 9 other people in the building. If I feel that an emails is good or helpful I will forward to the person I feel may benefit from it. But no more of that chain-letter, guilt trip stuff.:-4
