Kindred spirits all!:)

I'm going to pretend to be deaf then tell people there's no need to shout, I'm going to embarrass all and sundry but whatever means comes to hand, I'm going to dance outrageously at family parties, I have no dog so I'll just fart anyway!

Thinking about it - not much change really:D

he's onto gran, he knows she farts and blames him ahahaha

My gran used to sit innocently on the couch and when she had to "toot" she would lift one cheek barely and let one go, it was funny cause she thought no one ever noticed and she would act like nothing happened. I am sure if she had a dog she would have blamed it.

This is great...I was visiting with my Grandparents just last night who are 86 (almost) and 82, have been married for over 60 years...and they are the funny-iest people I know...

My grandfather was telling us about looking at Womens' breasts and telling us WHEN my mom was conceived and he could remember that night like yesterday...I really had a good laugh when he started talking about strippers and tasells, 'cause just the other night we were posting pics of those....:wah:

I will be just like him and my grandmother...I hope...loving life and making other people laugh!! :)

My grandad, was polish, he wasnt my blood family but the only grandad i ever knew from little, he was a great man. I think it was because he had spent time in concentration camps, that he always had to feed you everytime u went to visit, and if he and my nana were eating, even tho they had the same, he always took a piece of his food off his plate and put it on hers! Funny the things you remember innit.

If i took any friends with me when visiting he would pretend to pick his nose and eat it:eek: :wah:

Just thinking about my grandparents - my maternal grandmother has always been a good laugh, when my mum and dad were courting she once came downstairs wearing a pair of green tights, no skirt, and did a dance in front of my dad who was still a teenager then (she must of been only about 40 then!)

My other grandmother (90 now) has very little modesty, she had a serious op on a leg just a few years ago and quite happily lifts her skirt to show everyone that the scar goes the whole length of her leg!

I loved both sets of my grans.

My one grandfather used to tell jokes over and over again, and it got to the point where we would all just smile and nod and let the silly old guy relish in the attention. (except for my dad it used to pi$$ him off that his father in law was such a goof) hehehe

Tell you what though, I'm still young enough to thoroughly enjoy spending time with my 2 year old grandson and also to plan how to show him up when he gets older!!

And teach him 'naughty' things now.

Like his other Nanny wants to be called Nana Shaz (silly cow) so it easily corrupts into Nana Chav:D

My gran was as Hungarian as they got and rarely spoke english lordy that cracked us up every time.

If my father thought someone was not paying attention to him, he would whack them across the shins with his cane. Or, if their back was to him, he'd poke them in the back (and I have the round marks to prove that one).

I'll be as cool as I am now, just older. I see no reason to become a cantankerous, crotchety, ill mannered old biddy who feels righteous in tearing down others or offering unsolicited comments. That's just no class.

Lately when I'm someplace like Walmart, I'll become wary of the old women milling around. I'll start to think "Am I gonna turn out like that?" I see the ones who wear outrageous stuff like gold beaded high heeled cocktail shoes (with a sweatsuit no less) and 13 ankle bracelets and they have bright red hair and painted on clown eyebrows and bigass dangly earrings that look like Daves-Davies trawling lures and I'll think "Hmm...I have shoes like those. I wear ankle bracelets... Hmm... I have reddish hair. Hmm...I have painted toes and I do the makeup and I like all that glitz sometimes...OH GOD! I'm getting OLD! And it scares me because for all I know, it could be happening right under my feet and I wouldn't be knowing it! Is this how it happens?? I don't ever want to get like that!! Ever!!

At age 72, I am already there folks. I would like to think I have gotten here and will continue in style with a wee bit of class.
