Where Would You go?

If money was no object. You had no commitments. Where would you go and why?

.

.

I would go home (UK) to visit my family who I miss so much. Then I would pay for them all to come back to USA with me and meet my great American friends.

As a quite serious answer? To the FG meet ups

Unfortunately, commitments get in the way :-(

Italy. Venice, in particular. Really can't say why... I've just always felt a pull to go. It's definitely on my "to do before I die" list, as is learning enough Italian to make my way around. Hopefully I won't die before I've scraped the money to go!! :D

This is kind of an off-shoot to the whole traveling thing, but.... has anyone heard of Google Earth? I downloaded it to my laptop a while ago. It's absolutely amazing. My hubby and I sat for hours one morning putting in zip codes, cities, landmarks, everything, and the program gives you a kind of virtual tour. We could see our own house!! And we live in a very small town. We typed in Las Vegas and zoomed in so close you could see open car doors in the street. It's wild. Some of the less popular places have less detail, but nonetheless, it's pretty crazy.

Anyway, just mentioning it for all who like to learn more about the world and don't have the money/time to go to all the places they've been dreaming of.

I'd buy myself a villa in the Tuscan countryside and live the life I deserve to lead.

Back to Sicily, and the rest of Europe.

Hawaii beckons as well. As for where I'd live, it'd be a toss-up between New Orleans, in the French Quarter, or Sicily.

Excuse me - I spent last weekend looking for a VW Camper Van for my middle daughter as that's exactly what she wants.

I'm with Pinky, one of my dreams is to win a large sum of money and become a world traveler.

Problem is, to go to UK or Australia first?? I would love to be able to meet up with all my FG friends, would be so great. Cornwall is a place I've never heard about until I came here, have seen pictures, how beautiful!!

I'd love to be able to just hop on a plane and go everywhere, Guppy and I would both be living out of suitcases, but I'm sure we couldn't confuse them!!:wah:
