Talk Shows - Drivel for the modern world

Not only do I despise talk shows that run a segment called "Which one is the father?" at least twice a week, but I loathe the people that watch them. We will never get rid of this drivel until the audience turns the channel. Why do people watch this crap?

For the same reason the Romans had their Coliseum. A place to thow people to the lions for others' amusement. And I hate those shows too.

-I adore you! I never understood why my ex-husband was hooked on them, and he honestly thought The Jerry Springer show was real!

When I had a bad back and couldn't move much I watched the Jeremy Kyle show (Jerry Springer lite) and found myself shouting at the screen to these people to get a life, sort themselves out and stop humiliating themselves on national tv!!

It reinforced all my prejudices and opinions on the type of people that choose to use tv to sort out their problems - idiots.
