after being me for 55 years ,i get bored with me,sometimes ide like to be somebodey else just for a day,like praps sir richard branson ,doin daredevil feats and stunts b4 i count me money,or,,,,,,,,hugh hefner,count me money then me women,,,,,any others??

my sons a police officer,i had to help him pull a motorist over at speed ,i was driving and he told me to go along side,toot him up ,he then held his card and signalled him to pull over!i wernt allowed to get out of the car but oh if i could just be my boy for a day!!fantastic!

if an officer dosnt stop a speeding motorist ie some one who overtakes you when you are doing the limit,he would be reprimanded,,he can pull anyone up and caution them for any breach of the law.if he intends to arrest or issue a charge he must have proof.but make no mistake the police have far more powers than people realise

Thing is if that person jumped back in a car and speed off over the limit again and they were arrested, what would happen? They couldn't do a thing with out proof surely??

I think they have powers, but know that most of the time that with the paper work involved when they have no solid proof is a deterrent to get involved. I mean you'd never be off duty would you?

they are never off duty,if he goes to a night club he must help the bouncers if trouble starts,they get discounts in restaraunts cos they are known to be on duty full time.if he is out alone (and off duty)and a mass fracas occurs he must watch and do nothing exept be a proffessional witness.another thing,are you aware they also have to do jury service??i kid you not!dont forget even citizens can do acitizens arrest even without more proof than just another witness.the incident i mentioned wasnt to do with speding,the motorist had his mirrors folded and was hugging the centre lane,he would never change lane safely,so you see he HAD to stop him....and yes i LOVED it.

I know about the jury service, my childrens father is in CID in the MET, I would never ever stop my car for a police officer that wasn't in uniform or a car with the lights. Would youlike to of been a policeman Chris?

yes very much so but sadley i was not a good boy years ago and besides my eyesight was crap.if you dont pullover for an "off duty cop"you may well find he will report your offence to the proper channels ,then you wont just get a caution it will be fficial.incidently any of us can report a driving offence in the same way.i dont know if it will result in anything without witnessess,but it could.

its great!years ago i was a dorrman(bouncer)at quiet times i would tell jokes and funny stories,my "audience"were a circle of friends,the laoughter and encouragement were very addictive,unfortunatly the landlord wanted me to appear more like a gorrilla,laoughing bouncers dont scare folk,,,,,mmmmm,clowns scare millions.so for a day i would love to be a stand up comedien in the working mens clubs in the north of engand.
