I think its unrealistic to think it will be harmonious all of the time, that's life people will have differing opinions and not always agree but that's what makes it so interesting.

The trick is not to let it get out of hand and just accept that were all very different and just enjoy our garden.

You just have to ignore them Jess, and if you feel strongly report it. Everyone is guilty of not being respectful at all times, thats life. :)

Rude like adding the word pervert to a poster's comment?

I completely missed the MJ threads because he doesn't interest me, and I'll let those with strong views toward him post without me, but this thread prompted me to go back in your previous posts to see what you're on about.

All I saw were pots and kettles.

She took offense at your comment. You took offense at her comment. Whose comment came first?

Probably too late this time, but next time maybe you could look at why she overreacted and apologize for your part. Maybe she would do the same, maybe not, but you can control your input.

Or maybe, just maybe, you can remember what happened the last time you felt insulted, and will hold off making someone else feel the same way. How about that?

I agree with you jesse. Just because a member does not agree with another members opinion, it does not give them the right to call them ignorant. This place is just for fun, not for pissing off other members.

I know this has been going on for quite sometime now and I have stayed away from all that BS.This time I was dragged in because I posted a harmless Joke. What's up with that?I am a easy going person but when kicked I will kick back.

Jesse

I didn't realize you were insulted by another member. Unfortunately some strike out at another without any care for others. Can you imagine what they're like in person?? Having to live next door or work with that attitude..

As you and I both know life is too short to tolerate this type of attitude.

Put them on your ignore list. The internet connects you with all walks of life - I find the internet facinating to be able to chat with you and everyone from all over the world - thats cool. I enjoy other opinions and that makes you look outside the box - another perspective and thats cool.

Shake it off - your stronger & better than moving on.

Funny. I just pm'd TS a few days ago and asked why it is that so many people are deleting their accounts. Of course, I still haven't gotten an answer.

No. The spelling & grammar police need to turn in their badges and find more meaningful jobs.

My reaction was based solely on this thread that Jesse started, going no farther back into his past posts than I thought absolutely necessary, and the fact that he's done these threads before.

Threads started to complain to the world about being a victim irritate me. Sorry for not improving the situation.

Being new here, I'm only learning who knows who and who doesn't get along with who, not that I focus on those things. It seems to me that online activities, discussions, etc. shouldn't be a substitute for our real life interests. When you come online, be bulletproof. It's all pretend.

jesse... The behaviors that hurt you, or that you find offensive, will never be completely gone from here. There are those personalities who because they feel like nothing in real life... belittle, intimidate or insult people here. Its just life. Anyone who joined here, initially was a nobody. A few compliments, or posts of approval eventually turned them into online celebrities. A few years ago... new to this form of communicating.. there was a member here that used to make mincemeat out of me. I had never encountered such deliberate meaness. She visited FG it seems, with a daily agenda to make me look foolish. There were times that I logged off with my face burning red. I decided I wanted to learn how to play here. So, with the help of a few kind and more humble members, I was able to get better at the rules of online survival. You wont be here forever, noone will. It is a temporary life experience. Maintain your decency and your humility. Jump in the pool and play. Simply avoid the sharks. You will leave someday with a very nice shell collection. Just a few, to keep in a jar, that you will choose and save along the way.

Well this had been my first weekend here...and I have to say its another day of some sort of bad feeling...I come online to have fun and a banter with some online buddies not to read all this bad feeling...... I even read yesterday a post someone posted (cant remember who it was) complaining about all the new members!!

I don't think its all that difficult all of us being friends and having some fun...isn't that what online communities are for!

In what way? She was rude. Absolutely undeniable. But how is that "opening the court" in the context I used? She didn't start a new thread to draw additional attention to herself or her plight from others who might never have known otherwise.

You suggested the Jesse PM his concerns and not to make a open court.

Yet LOZ states FU as his ugly opinion - that was in open court

Loz has a statement he should've PM. Better yet no comment all from LOZ would've been great. Same for calling a opinion ignorant -
