Maybe the BH part stand for Big Horse or something???
Erm, then again, maybe not? Oh well, keep guessing, I suppose.
What about Barry Handley? or Breda Hopkins, or Bad Hair 673 or whatever, it could be a chemical formula, like Benzozate Hydroxide 672. This is a bit of a mystery all right. Hmmnn. Maybe its nomad?

cheers dr g ,great poem by the way
i always thought a haiku was what the all blacks did sticking their tongues out before rugby :wah: :wah:
Ok - I've tried really really reeeeeaaallllyyy hard not to do this, but I'm just toooo pedantic!
THe first poem was more of a Senryu, than a traditional Haiku. A haiku follows a 5,7,5 phonetic pattern. Senryu, is a less traditional form of the Haiku, which can sometimes be humerous and relates more to HUMAN nature than NATURAL nature.
Lovely poem by Galbally though..... very impressed!
I've studied poetry, but CANNOT write it to save my life! Have tried and given up many times. It's a treasured talent :-4

First time I knew about them was many years ago when I was reading one of Jack Kerouac's books (not sure which one it was either) and there was mention of haiku. I like that there are classic haiku, ones that have been around for hundreds of years.
If anyone can write them very well they do have real talent.
There's an alternative bookstore in London that has a whole shelf on Haiku

okay, I love a mystery...and didn't realize that this really was an issue...will put my "super-hero thinking cap on":wah:
I don't think its Rain...what has me is that they are trying to give you the impression of 2 people as 1, so either its a couple or it's someone that has had 2 names under the B and H letters??? but now has thrown the R in there...
