Alright folks, we're having an election!

What for? Yet to be decided.

General idea...

Which way did they go?

When did they go by?

How fast were they moving?

I must find them... I am their leader.

We've got one week to nominate fellow members for this election.

Those who accept nomination must tell us what they can do for FG and win our votes. They may campaign for one week after the nominations are in and the candidates selected. A maximum of four candidates may run. If there are more than three nominations accepted it will go to the polls to narrow it down.

Galbally has been nominated and accepted the nomination.

jimbo, Far Rider koan and Suzy B have been nominated and turned it down.

Bryn Mawr is thinking about it.

Minks has been nominated.

great I have had a liquid lunch yet again and you think I can define a position here on FG.... I swear town drunk is good enough... ahahaha can I come back tomorrow....

never mind I will take the challenge

Can I be the peace keeper

I am canadian after all

I can be unbiased unless your name is ... oh never mind I really didn't bite anyones leg off yesterday, I refrained from name calling, I tried to be fair and reasonable and listen and sympathize with both sides, and when the sweep up crew came in with the happy faces I applauded them... I think, didn't I, hmmm yes no yes no...

You know there are other forums out there laughing at me right now... crap... ok can my week be done now :P

I am happy to be associated with minks in this election, she is a fine example of canadianess (sic?) and is a credit to her country, her sex, and to all things snowy and cuddly. I myself am honoured to be running as your next Prime Minister, and may I take this opportunity to congraulate myself for being me, good man, thank you all, you are too kind. I await more candiates with a great sense of goodwill and growing violence. :wah:

For the greater glory of FG, for love, peace, fellowship, motherhood, and all good things, don't forget vote Galbally, your number one candidate for all things that anyone can think of on any given day. :-6

To coincide with the General Election in Britain when I was 10 years old, we had an election in my class at school. Myself and a girl named Elaine Atkinson were chosen as the candidates. We had to prepare a manifesto and stand up on election day in front of the school and state why we were worthy of a vote. I had some great policies such as "If I become Prime Minister I will allow football to be played on the bowling Green in the park". Yeah...dirty tricks abounded :sneaky: In the end I swept to victory with the narrowest margin. That's because all the boys voted for me and all the girls for Elaine, and there was one more boy than the number of girls. I did the honourable and gentlemanly thing to ease the crushing defeat experienced by Elaine by shouting to her "I'm the Prime Minister" as I was lifted onto the shoulders of my peers. :wah:

Fellow members, I stand here in front of you (sober today) to tell you I will endeavour to do my best to bring peace and harmony to the forum garden. I will endorse all fun and frivolity in the pub, and will gladly encourage all "butter" comments from here on forward.

I am honored to be running side by side with the great mister Gallybally, however his attempt at motherhood may prove too much for this fine gentleman.

Peace you to all and let the games begin

My fellow FGers, to clarify a small issue that has come up on this campaign, I would like to state that I am completely in favour of motherhood, though I am at this time not interested in being a mother myself, or a father I hasten to add, though of course the first bit of fatherhood is obligatory for the PM every day or what is the point of being PM in the first place, I dunno, people eh?
