premature mid-life crisis...any remedies?

Post by valerie »

Well I'm no one to give fashion advice so I'll just stick to what I do feel I

have at least a LEETLE experience with...

Take a deep breath, hun, and hold on. It's all gonna be okay. I for one

don't think you need to apologize to the guy. Let it be a life lesson to him

so maybe next time it happens he at least knows the impact it could have

(and he doesn't try to do it in an art gallery!! :D ) I also get the feeling

that you would like at least ONE more contact with him, and that ain't

good. Let it go. Just let it go, not important in the greater scheme of things.

Really not important.

Sometimes, you can't get outside yourself to take a look at what's goin' on,

you're all bogged down in the everyday junk. And think of it like this...

you're ONLY 35. ONLY. That's a mere youngster in my book! Don't be so hard

on yourself.

Coupla suggestions: Have you ever thought of doing some kind of volunteer

work in a field you are interested in? Might help you get out a little and

even potential for learning about a job you really do want to do since you

say you are unhappy with your professional life.

Suggestion #2: I have the sneaking suspicion that you might be getting

pressure from family/friends to "settle down"... it's really hard but try to

shut off that noise. It's just not good for your emotional health.

Take a walk in a beautiful spot. Sit and have a cup of decaf tea and read a

good book.

Hope this helps.

Take care
