It's the age old question, at what point do you allow your kids sleep in the same room as their boyfriend/girlfriend?
This is particularly pertinent when kids come back from college for the first time with their latest squeeze in tow. In fact, you only have to look at virtually every middle-class Tv sit-coms of the last two decades to see just how this social problem is now today.
It seems the Royal Family are currently suffering a similar quandary. Yup, everyone's favourite family in the British Isles, are apparently stuck on the horns of a dilemma following the news that Prince Harry is planning to bring his Zimbabwean girlfriend to stay in Highgrove next month.
The girlfriend, who Harry reassured reporters last week 'isn't black or anything, you know", is a stunning blond. But any hopes that third-in-line-for-the-throne may have had for high Jinks with her in Highgrove have been dashed.
Apparently his old man, Prince Charles, vetoed the notion and insisted that, not only must they share separate bedrooms, they couldn't even have 'adjoining suites'. Prince Charles, of course is the perfect man to be dispensing moral advice.

I was allowed to have male friends stay when I was a teenager but they had to sleep in the caravan.
Then when I was 24 I was allowed to have my boyfriend sleep in my room... Mum wasn't happy, bt she told my dad I was an adult so they couldn't really say no... At least I asked first and it wasn't the morning after they found a stranger walking around the house
The girlfriend, who Harry reassured reporters last week 'isn't black or anything, you knowReally taught them well about making comments to the press didn't they :wah:

Bad Girls have very high standards, but they love you even if you sometimes fall short.

I don't understand the ruckus about his girlfriend... Wills has had a female flatmate for a couple of years (at college) who he has also been dating.
ETA ~ CaptB my monitor at home needs to be replaced, colours are wonky and your Irish flag looks Italian here
at my office it looks fine though

Great question! It is a troublesome problem that most, if not all parents/kids one day have to face. In our case, our Daugher lived at home and followed most of the "rules" untill she turned 18. Then, She went away to out of state College.
She left as a girl, but when she graduated, and finally returned home, she returned as a woman. She got a P/T job at the College to earn a little extra spending (probably BEER) money. So she got her feet wet in the business world.
After returning home as a woman, she said she could not live to the "rules" of the (our) house any longer. She was on her own for so long now, making her own rules. So eventually she landed a great job, and then got her own place with her best friend. (Close by, so she was able to visit us often)
Now she is married & has a Son of her own, making the "rules" for him!!!

That was my thought too - didn't William have a house with male/female roomates? In fact he is dating one of them now.
As for Harry having a girlfriend.....ahem....at least it's a girl.
Diana had her lovers visit Royal residences didn't she?
I think old Charles is more concerned with press coverage than actual sleeping arrangements. Down the hall ... in the basement.... if you are going to have sex....doesn't matter where the partner is lodged.
Poor Harry..... I hope he is having fun.... can't be all great with that dour Charles moping about. :wah:

The Father had sent a wonderful example, why not, let Harry have his girlfriend stay with him. They are doing the WILD thing anyway, what difference does it make, I say--let them go!
Myself, very strict father, home by 11:00 on Sat. Nites, no sleep together till marriage, & at that time my father thought i never had sex?
