You are there. When cold winds
bite, you shield me, the blanket
I always wished I had.
I pray you're always there
to hold onto when the seas get rough.
You've shown me beauty in life,
the sunrise was never so bold or
magnificent as when you made me really see it
for the first time, with eyes opened anew.
I beheld frost like glass, fresh morning dew.
Sunset is miles away, a memory
yet to come. I know I can only be summer to you
not all four seasons, yet I don't care.
Come rain or shine, your thoughts warm my heart
and make me feel more aware.
Like last years' leaves turning to smoke
I know you'll be gone soon.
Rising from the flames in one final stand
I wish you'll be brave enough
to stand up, take my hand
when the stars pause in their obrit
and time stands still
as I know without shadow
of a doubt it certainly will.
Even if I never set eyes on you evermore
I'll remember you. Engraved in my mind
are the words you left me
always courteous and kind,
I'll always seek your bounty to find.
That is lovely, Pinky...the lines I've highlighted are particularly poignant to me

Gosh Pinky. That's lovely. But sad too. I wish you a life of a million smiles.

That is really good actually, its moving without being too sentimental, and there is a lot of emotional energy coming through there, and its quite evocative. I think you have talent pinky.
