If you could spend one day and night with anyone who would it be?

I think I would spend it with a top of the line surgeon, so I could talk about the things I am going through. If I could'nt have that I guess it would be sweet tater salad.

My great-grandmother was obviously Native American, born before the Civil War. She was adopted, somehow, by a wealthy family and lived through the war and the horrible times during "reconstruction." I'd love to spend a day & a night with her, learning all she knew and solving a great family mystery.

I would want to talk to any one of my four grandparents. They all came here from the "old country" and I would like to know more about how they made the decision to come over here.

(Ahhh...a fellow historian! My daughter and I have actually had this "meet the ancestors" fantasy, but we want to do it in present times, so we can show the grandmothers our kitchens! Imagine that?

Lulu...my cousin on my dad's side spent a few years doing a complete geneology of the Italian side of our family. It was very concise, and we all learned alot from it.

(My daughter's spent YEARS on ours...we go back before the revolution and could be members of both the DAR and the DOC! It's amazingly fascinating...the history, etc.)
