The Weather !

Well....after 2 years of 'less than normal rainfall', we have had 2 months of 'more than normal rainfall'.

Doesn't seem that long ago that we were 'melting' in a heatwave .

It's wet and windy on the south coast of England today....what's it like where you are ???

If the weather's horrible where you are.....do you stay indoors and if so what do you get up to ?

it's Dec. and i still have the A/C on!! :-5 i want some chill in the air! funny thing is, 2 weeks ago i was running the heat at night. :rolleyes: ..........oops, was this only for England? well Bothwell says he could REALLY use some sunshine and beaches:-6

Hi Esme!! And welcome to the Garden. I've been seeing reports of ice storms in the American midwest. And my friend Okie, says OKC got 8 inches of snow. WOW. Here in Australia we are in summer and well into a long drought. Lovely sunny day today, actually, not too hot.

had a tremendous storm last night gale force winds and bucketing rain. at the mo its still gale force winds but no rain.

Temperature dropped something like 40 degrees a couple of days ago. We finally pulled the winter clothes out of storage.

Yeah, the temperature dropped yesterday, I'm in thermals again..................

Bez, I still go outside for my daily walk, unless it is an absolutely downpour. I must go outside, it is hard to stay indoors all day long. I'll walk this afternoon, it will be maybe 40 by then. But to see the sun and the clouds in the sky, is lovely. The sun will not be warm enough to feel on my face, but I will still see it.:-6

Been an evil night here, roads are closed because of fallen trees, the promenade is covered in seaweed. Road works and temporary traffic lights that were on the prom have all been blown over. I think the wind may be calming down finally.

Well it's still blowing a gale here Chonsi, but at least the sun is coming out every now and then.

I've been wrapping Christmas presents and I'm going to write my cards this afternoon.

It's cool here, about 40 this morning and gonna warm up to about 70 this afternoon.

We are supposed to have a front come in next week that's gonna freeze our buns. But according to the weather channel, it doesn't look as if that's gonna happen.

It's a balmy 19f/-7c here this morning with 7 inches of snow on the ground and more coming tomorrow. It's starting out like a typical winter so far. :wah: Still, if you bundle up it's nice to go for a walk in. Even this time of year I don't like to miss my daily walk. Of course if the temps get down around zero or like last week the windchill goes to minus temps, then I stay indoors by the fire.

Weather here has just been very cold and very windy. No rain and very little sun, certainly feels like Winter all right, and you can see people gradually starting to wear gloves and scarves, and not too mention catching a cold, (which has already happened to me!)

the high was eighty five degrees farenheit here today. the grass is turning green again,my daffodils are up and blooming. my koi are back active and wanting to be fed...feels like spring..............

it's back warm and cloudy here....you can actually go barefoot it is so warm...all the kids are out on their fourwheelers......everybody is enjoying the day.....

Well, it rained all night and most of the morning. Now the trees are falling in the road and taking power lines with them.

People are hydroplaning off the road and into ditches.

Can you imagine what would happened if it snowed? People here can't drive in the rain, the snow just freaks them out. They look like some caveman who just discovered shoes or something.

Anyhoo, its probably in the mid to high 60's. Way too warm for this time of year. I WANT SOME COLD WEATHER!
