I'd keep it simple... I make this (brag, brag) really good marinade so

I'd buy a London Broil and marinate it, slice it into thin strips to serve.

Asparagus tips served with melted butter. Store bought (there are some

REALLY good ones out there) cheesecake for dessert. Champagne

throughout. (You guys know me!!)

For hors d'oeuvres probably again, something simple, maybe just

some plump prawns with hoisin sauce to dip... or since it's Dungeness

season here, some fresh crabmeat and really good crackers.

When's he due in, Butter?

A smoked brisket, pork ribs, red beans, potatoe salad, fresh sliced tomatoes, and corn bread. Sweet tea or beer to drink.

Red beans are really called pinto beans..see image.

I buy the cornbread mixes at the store then jazz it up with a can of creamed corn and chedder cheese. :D

I think your pinto beans must be from the same family as kidney beans, they look pretty similar, do you use them in chilie, kinda what they are most popular for here

Have to make my favorite recipe: Stuffed manicotti, it's stuffed with ricotta cheese, mushrooms, Italian sausage, spinach and smothered with whatever cheese you like, and with Italian sauce.

I would have to respond with my local delicacy - Chips (deep fried in dripping of course) with pleny of gravy and accompanied by faggots and mushy peas.
