my son, his girl, and the wife-killer

my son lived with a lovely young lady all through college. a Canadian girl. i loved her dearly! her parents loved my son. they were perfect together. so she became briefly seduced by a man named justin barber, (you can google the case). it broke my son's heart. barber murdered his beautiful young wife on a beach here. she had to testify, it was all on court TV. i sat here in shock watching her on the stand. my son was here. he said "Mom, i feel like a loser". :-1 i told him the loser is going to prison. he's better now, but it was a terribly painful thing. he's his mother's son, he had a tee-shirt made up that said "at least i'm not justin barber". :wah: .....and i booked barber in...i could never say one word to him. dateline did a special on the case, "murder in the moonlight". barber got life w/o parole.

I do recall hearing about this, but never followed the case.

What a scum. I read the Guns-n-Roses part of the defense. It is amazing how often you hear about music, or a movie or whatever being a "trigger" of sorts. As if the guy is saying "Gee..I didn't really mean to do it.. It was Axel Rose that told me to do it".

Is that girl, Shannon, who is pictured, your son's girl?

Is your son back together with Shannon or is it over?

Is your son back together with Shannon or is it over?he could never go back with her. i feel for her actually. i still love her. i wish her well. i know this was a horrible trauma for her too.
