Angel therapy

Does anyone practice or know anything about this?

My friend has just been on a course that took her half way around the world, she wants to give me the benefits of what she learned at it tonight, im excited & scared all at the same time.

She's already a hypnotherapist & i do love & trust her but cant help feeling a bit apprehensive, i suppose its that 'not being in control of myself thing' know what i mean?

I hear you BCup

Some things are better left 'on the shelf' and *not* pulled out to be discussed

Let us know what you choose to do :-6

Sounds interesting. Kind of like they combined a few techniques and gave it a new name. Regression Therapy is very interesting but trust is important or your mind will fight the relaxation exercises. I'd like to hear about the experience after.

Not sure if I already posted anything on my own experiments with regression therapy or not. If not... you go first :D

For me there's a question that comes before this one......

Do angels exist?

then

What are angels?

Then

does angel therapy work?

It's similar to the whole past life regression thing...... I had this conversation with a 'master' in this a couple of weeks ago.

The first question is whether or not there are past lives. During the conversation we found that I had ways to explain EVERYTHING she was describing, without past lives being proven. (genetic memory, susceptibility under hypnosis etc)

I did say that whilst I'm not convinced - I do concur that this kind of therapy does have it's uses - but this could just be that the people that visit her are in need of something to believe in, whether they know it or not...

Now I'm not an 'if you can't measure it, it doesn't exist' kinda gal - but there are just so many questions that need answers before I would put any stock in this..

I entered into this knowing nothing, it felt really strange to be with my friend in her 'work mode' & on reflection now its probably best to do this with a stranger as im so used to being at her house for socialising, made it hard to get into the relaxation thing.

supersilly i'd never questioned 'did i believe in angels' i'd never thought about it, i knew my friend was a big believer but we seldom discuss 'work' i dont ask about angels - she doesent ask about highlights so this was all brand new to me.

Anyway it dident turn out to be about regression & i went straight from work so never seen your posts or would have asked her about that, i would have likely enjoyed knowing about a past life more than touching on this one :p

She spoke to me about a partners death many years ago & asked me to talk through my feelings about it, she felt he was trying to get a message through but i was blocking him & her, this is possible, she said i was squirming & scratching a lot at that point but im not consious of if i did or dident, whilst talking about it i did have a sence of colour, i wont go into detail about that if you dont mind as we will likely do some chakra work.

I dont know if i believe in chakra's either but im willing to be open minded about it & give it a try.

On the whole yeah i'd be up for a few more sessions but thats only cause its free, this is not the kind of thing i would pay for.

I dont mean to sound negative but i think we could have accomplished the same result just chatting over a bottle of wine, i think you made a really good point supersilly when you said 'people are in need of something to believe in'

Anyway i'll update at some point next week when we do the chakra thing, maybe as the thread goes on i'll get converted :D

*puts on cynical hat* (it's purple with a wide ribbon)

This is where I feel that it would be best to work with someone who doesn't know you at all, as your friend already has a 'concious' insight into your troubles, and could easily sway the session that way... It also may have been inappropriate for her to say that your partner is trying to get a message through, but that you were blocking it, for a number of reasons.

I do agree with you that you probably would have got all that (and a lot more) out of a really open and honest chat with a good friend (or a counsellor)

Now touching on the chakras - this is a lot easier to get your head round. I do hold with the meridian of energy, and have been dowsed in the past, (the healer identified every single one of the bones I had broken in the past, and also said that my tatoo had had a detrimental effect on my meridian flow of energy)

Even if you don't undersand what it's all about, then lying on a table, with soft music, whilst someone conentrates ALL their energy on YOU for an hour can't be bad can it?
