the manager came over and told us that they caught some young kids they were going round stealing all the tips:o
for once sue was quite for a whole meal :wah:
Yep some years ago, I had a similar thing happen. The tip was on the edge of the table as we were leaving. We passed some people including a few small children that were walking past our table to another table. Well while we were walking out, I turned around to glance at our old table. I saw one of the little kids (maybe 4 or 5) walking by pick up the tip. Ohoooo. . . he found money! "Fortunately", the boy's mother saw him do that also, & she made him put it back telling him what it all was about. So if "we" didn't see what happened, & the boy just put the tip in his pocket, the waitress would have thought we stiffed her! And She would have been pis*ed at us next time we returned, as we are regulars there! Luckily, it all turned out good!
Today, most times we don't have that problem anymore, as we pay by Credit Card, & the tip is "written" on the bill.
