I have trying allsorts of different ales and ciders and lagers since moving here...LOL! Been loads of fun!

That's a point. Theakston do (or did, anyway) a vintage[1] cider, which was

quite pale and not too fizzy[2]. Quite expensive in pubs, though!

[1] Made with old apples.

[2] I prefer still cider. Try Weston's Organic Cider, or Vintage Cider, available

in supermarkets (Tesco) near you.

I quite like the ciders! Really got a twing to them! I think I can leave the bitters though. I actually got to do a scrumpy with the bits! :yh_bigsmi

containers, or buy 5L ones there - the stuff out of the barrel is very good, the

stuff in 2L bottles (e.g. "PREMIUM PRESS") you can buy at various outlets has

somehow had its flavour removed and its soul destroyed. Of the 1/2 litre glass

bottled ones available, Katy, Somerset Redstreak, Spartan are nice. "Oak

Matured", ptui!

All IMO, of course.

One of the continental wheet beers then - usually strong but cloudy.

Prefer mine clear and dark - much like the Theakston's Old Peculier which, when they first brought it out, they would also only serve in half pints.
