Naked Woman + Dead Pig = art? You decide
Some animal rights activists are up in arms over some performance art which featured a naked woman cradling a dead pig in her arms for four hours. What do you think. Here is an article, no picture, though.

I think the naked woman is art and the dead pig is'nt. But I reserve judgment till I see the pic. The dead pig may look better who knows?

Oh, it's being shown in Cornwall, about 15 miles from here

The only way I could see it as art is if it was supposed to present a statement about the nurture factor of women and humanity's sickening abuse of animals. Otherwise, it wouldn't be any kind of art for me. I hope the pig was not killed for this "art?"
I am reminded of Damien Hirst who uses cadaver parts in his "work." Also of some long forgotten scuzz who killed rabbits and stretched them out on coat hangers immediately after as 'art." I am pretty open on "what is art" but when it comes to animals I have limits.

I saw the picture in yesterday's newspaper and as far as I'm concerned there is nothing artistic about this, it just smacks of sensationalism and passing off no talent as avant-garde and trendy. No doubt loads of people will jump on the bandwagon and call it wonderfull. Here's the picture - you decide

Now that I have seen the picture, I find this exhibit more than a little disturbing.
