Well, glad to see you've found Open office!!

Ain't it cool?!!

If your really into free software, have you considered experimenting with The Linux operating system?

Linux has loads of free software that matches up to what wiondows offers, and much of it's better!!



Completely unbiased view there!!!

Thats a good question, but one that is fairly easy to answer:

By the very nature in which the way linux works and the fact that since it's inception it was designed as a "Secure" operating system, linux has very few viruses out in the wild, two the last time i looked into it, but they will have been dealt with with updates.

Viruses aren't so much as a problem with linux as they are with windows because there are so many documented security flaws with windows, why would a hacker or other person want to attack a system running linux, when he could attack a windows system which has more security holes than a seive?

However, there are free virus checkers for linux, should you feel it's necessary.

My main problem with Ubuntu at the moment is connecting new devices to the machine - not exactly plug and play.

Do you know of any software to talk to Olympus cameras?
