Better Than Anything Cake

I've heard this called various things; Better Than Romance, Better Than Robert Redford, etc.. I just finished frosting one for my son-in-law who loves chocolate. Anybody ever bake one or taste it?

Hello Zapata, nice Zapata, do you need any more taste testers? :D

By coincidence I just happen to have a nice clean crumb-free plate with me! ;)

Well! That's certainly different. I'm copying that for my daughter, the Operating Room nurse.:wah:

My Better Than. . . cake has

Double fudge chocolate cake covered with

Cream, covered with

Caramel sauce, covered with

Dream Whip, sprinkled with

Chocolate-covered toffee.

Not to be confused with my Pig Pickin' Cake which has Yellow cake, mandarin oranges, crushed pineapple and Dream Whip all conglomerated together into a million calories.

(I've just seen the THORAX cake and I will never, EVER be the same!)

Clancy....is this something you all think about during the long winters in the highlands?

My daughter is making her boyfriends birthday cake on Monday-we planned it all out. It's going to be the pirate ship from POTC. Everything is edible on it, it will be like the cakes we had as kids-with life saver portholes, and licorice ropes on the mast, etc.

CLANCY "How rude!"

Well, sorry...but YOU posted that link! How about a "Hide the sausage in the kilt" cake?

Chonsigirl...that sounds great. Photos, please!

http://recipestoday.com/recipes/desserts/btacake.htm

this was so insanely easy, I took it to a BBQ and it was such a hit.... I swear it is low Cal as well

if you eat it outdoors

Thanks for the lead to this fabo cake guys, even if it is 100% synthetic, we loved it.
