I'm home...

Post by Sheryl »

Well we made it home bout 8 p.m. last night. I was tired and stayed up only long enough to get Ayden fed and in bed. We had a great weekend though. David actually enjoyed camping, even though I think he was bored most of the day Saturday.

Friday right after we arrived, my son wanted to go fishing. So him and granddad went fishing while I helped my mom fix a big batch of chili for supper. After supper granddad and Zakk went on a hike while the rest of us played a few games of Skip-Bo. Yea I'm still the reigning champion.

Saturday David, Zakk and I all went on hike to see the place where the bears are taken after they have been killed. It was a long hike up hill, but the beautiful scenery made up for it. Coming back down we came across some horse crap and Zakk asked what it was. So David being the smart ass he is told Zakk it was pioneer car crap. That night my mom made my favorite for supper, fried chicken. So I was in hog heaven.

Sunday we went to Eagles Nest to do some shopping. It was the busiest I'd ever seen Eagles Nest. David, who knows everybody, ran into several friends who were also up there this weekend. So while he stayed on the streets chatting with friends, I went shopping. :D

But I was glad to get home to a real hot shower and my bed. :D

I took some pictures and will post them later.

Oh and by the way anyone looking for a job, please take this one so they'll open this place back up to tours. It's been closed for several years, and I've been wanting to go back and see it again and take better pictures. :D

It's a really neat house though. Part log cabin, part castle. In it's prime it had beautiful rose gardens and a maze. Dave told me bout the job offer last night when he was looking up why it has been closed. He said he'd apply for it, but he doesn't know crap bout llamas. And the only thing I know bout them is that they spit. :-3
