Thanks, RocioFlyer is a picture that I aged of new member jaggedlittlegirl.

The Bright and The Dull took me a while to complete and yes....can tell a lot by looking into a persons eyes or creatures eyes for that matter.

Great pics, NS - I'm a total Photoshop fan too!! Had the job once of removing a glass of booze from the hand of a top academic who wanted the photo in question used for serious purposes. Also, once rendered an obviously pregnant research scientist unpregnant, photographically speaking, for some brochure she needed. Grin. It's fun moving peoples heads around too.

I am sorry I don't like Photoshop even though you all have fun with it, and its a good thing to play with.... It gets harder and harder in the real photo world to determine if good pictures are digitally enhanced... this makes me sad cause I love taking photos, and don't like being asked if I photo shop them :(

Just my point of view, yes they are cool "art" please don't think I am being critical of your work, only the concept :(

I do loads of photography too, minks and take your point. I've just myself demonstrated that the photo can now fully lie. I think they probably always have had that capacity though. Think of the old airbrushing. Photoshop is a tool and you can be creative with it. And have loads of fun. Composing and executing a really good photo is something different, and comes with another kind of joy. But with digital cameras now, things are changing anyway. You can do stuff you couldn't do before. Digital slr even. My medical researcher establishment had two photographers on the staff (I was the web person so only did digipics). They did medical imaging as well as mug shots. The cameras would even link up to microscopes. Photography covers a very wide area I guess. I still haven't had my morning coffee!!!

Oh I hope I didn't come off sounding brutish. I like the art and creativity of photoshop it's very cool. But I like the skill of a true, original photo better. I am always aiming to capture what my eye does and challenge my camera to do so as well, of course it's never going to happen unless i go 3D. Sigh.

So carry on photoshoppers have a ball.

You didn't sound brutish at all. Know what you mean. My favourite photos ever, technique wise, are a bunch of black and white ones I took for a class assignment years ago at a skate park. Slowing everything down to catch the movement. That was for me too, real photography.
