I usually get, "someone called bout AVon or something, their number's on caller id"

Men Messages don't mix well
I once left the following outgoing message on my answering machine:
Hi. Phil Kumin's answering machine is on vacation, and so, this is the refrigerator instead. If you want to leave a message, go ahead and do so after you hear the beep, I'll write it up and stick it on my own front door so Phil will see it when he gets home. Bye!
I kept this message on the machine for a while, but I eventually got tired of hearing callers break into laughter before they began leaving their message, so I took it off. I also got tired of being addressed as, "Refrigerator."

Messages usually mean something entirely different where it comes to the Buchan area,
Message and/or errands ( "eerints" ) are what a housewife goes downtown for every day to buy to feed the family.
Recent tests in Britsin showed that men are absolutely unsuitable for that occupation.
They rigged a husband up (perhaps a few husbands ) with electric devices (probably read remotely by wireless.) measuring the pulse, heartbeatm repsiration and perspiration and the rsults astounded the scientists.
Their conclusions were that all the readings were far higher than for a fighter pilot going into action - that is revealing.!
Some readings such as blood pressure went sky high!
So men have not been making an excuse just to avoid going for errands with their wifes.
The wives' entire bodies relaxed more and more the more she shopped - and spent!
