Bad fathering! Really bad!!

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A Kansas man was arrested at a Tulsa strip club after police say his toddler son wandered from an unlocked car into the club over the weekend.

Christopher Greg Killion, 31, was arrested Saturday on a complaint of "encouraging a minor child to be in need of supervision." He posted $500 bond and was released from the Tulsa Jail.

The toddler told police that his father told him to stay in the car, and that if he left it, "monsters would eat him," reports indicate.

A manager at the club had called police to report that about 30 minutes after Killion entered the club, a 3- to 4-year-old boy came inside looking for his father. Officers determined that the boy had been left alone in a car in the strip club's parking lot. The car was unlocked and parked about 20 feet from a four-lane street. It was raining and 45 degrees outside at the time, an officer noted in the police report.

Poor little kid. Sadly, that kind of thing seems to happen all too often. Most cases I've read of here seem to involve Mum or Dad locking a toddler in a car in summer heat as they goes into a club or casino. How long does it take a little kid to die strapped in a car seat when the outside temperature is a hundred degrees? (I'm sure we've all done that very briefly while we dash into the local store for bread, but geesch).

When I was at the beach last week I was crossing a major road and was joined by a boy of about 2 on a bike and an older man. The man asked me if I was the kid's mum. I said no! He asked the kid where his parents were, said it was not safe for him to be out on a bike on the main road at his age alone!!! The little boy was quite chatty. Said his mum and his stepdad were in a house way up the road and had told him to go and play. The older man said this was unacceptable and he'd walk the little one back home. The kid held the man's hand and at that stage I thought maybe I better go along too. Gee... the older man seemed like a really nice bloke. But that kid had no idea of stranger danger, or road danger, or any other sort of danger !!!!

GOOD! it's criminal negligence and child endangerment.

People locking kids (skin OR fur) in hot cars is why I carry a center punch

with me. Believe me, I won't hesitate to use it. I doubt any judge in the

land is going to come after me for busting out a window in extreme

circumstances!

and the elderly...they can become dehydrated and die in a very short time also. the horror stories are going to start to roll in soon, every year, the same damn thing. it takes only minutes for the interior of a vehicle to reach oven-like temps.

That's right LC and Valerie. The elderly and pets too. Some people are just criminally irresponsible!! Arrest their sorry asses, LC!! And bust the windows, Valerie. That's what happens here in the lucky cases where someone arrives on the scene in time.
