im a member of several, all of course for various things
its true that at the garden you can cover most subjects but its always nice say if your an electrician to mix with other electricians on a website specifically for that
so what im wondering is just how many forums (specific topics) are you a member of?
for me its
5 forums - specific things
4 forums - general (bit of a forum junkie me  )

One for me, really. Here.
I've checked a couple others that fellow Gardeners have graciously invited me to (thanks :yh_flower ) but for whatever reason just didn't get hooked like here.
Most recently, I went searching for a libertarian forum. The busiest one I found, it turns out, is a 'ghost ship' and crashes several times daily. Interesting views there, but just too frustrating.

9!?
I have a couple I check into. This one is actually the one I'm at the most. I just took a wee break to work on some family things.

Some other forums are 'scary places' with scary people. I feel safe here.
I only belong to 2 others which I visit occasionally .... they are Buddhist related and a BBC gardening forum but they talk 'allotments' all the time and I haven't got one so lose interest..

Jives, I know that its title says what it is, but I'm curious about the British Humour on one of your other forums. Is it British people contributing their humour or forum members looking for examples of British humour? I was just wondering

I belong to one other, which is sadly slowly dying. They do a daily quiz, which I like, but people are posting there less and less often. It's a shame, as it was a very good site, unfortunately it only ever had about 12 members...and they're all slowly drifting away. When I get online, which is not so much these days, I'm usually here.

the thing i love about here is its so big, so many topics, so many opinions but i
dont like the arguments
what i like about the others is they are very small & tend to cover just 1 or two subjects but there's hardly any members
plus & minus's to both
couldent you start up a daily quiz here rapunzel?

You're all great!
What lovely sentiments, Tmbsgrl. And I agree with you.

As a newby just finding my feet here and as an occasional poster (but avid reader) on a couple of more specialist forums - UK Inland waterways and UK Folk music
For a general forum this is by far the most interesting I've come across
