An obituary..

With all the tragedies going on in the world at the moment and the

ensuing sadness for those afflicted, it is worth reflecting on the

death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey," died peacefully at

age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the

coffin. They put his left leg in and then the trouble started.

Golly. That was in 1996, I'm amazed that it's still doing the rounds. Good joke though.

It was a bad week. I bet people can still bring it to mind if they get the right triggers. Tonya Harding created a splash by filing for divorce again, and Jessica Dubroff was being chased by a media circus as she tried to become the youngest person ever to pilot a plane across the United States.
