hehehehe well you could always have a little wine with your FG visit it adds to the pleasure hehehehe

I dunno when I get bored I jump on here, other times I grab a good book a glass of wine or a beer and just enjoy a long read. Or go walk my goofy dog. I never see it as bored I see it as good quality alone time hehehehehe

I watch the weather channel, which usually puts me to sleep.

1 month ago i had a full time job, 3 boys to keep care of and seemed like never a moment to call my own... I lost my job 3 weeks ago (my company went bust :() and my boys are 100 miles away for 2 weeks visiting their dad and my god, day 3 of the kids being away and im bored to tears ><

Looking back when i just got home from work and found myself knee deep in dirty school clothes and with dinners, homework and baths to sort out it wasnt that bad after all...

Ive watched series 1 - 4 of star trek enterprise, and series 1 - 2 of tour of duty so far... lost is next :P

Anyone know of any good books? :)

I felt that way just after my divorce and when the girls would go to their dads for weekend visits... but slowly over time I learned that my alone time meant I could do what ever I darn well felt like ... without guilt. I treasure it now.

Awww, hunny! Where did you used to live and where are you living now? Perhaps one of us lives near where you were/are and could chat to you about home. If not, come here and chat to us anyway, we'll cheer you up. The best thing about the garden, I think, is that we're all pretty like-minded. You might have to work with a bunch of eejits, but at least here people understand you. They might even ask you to plant few flowers. (Just don't get lumbered with the pooper-scooper job!) hehehe :wah:

ty :) Im living in Bradford UK atm, originally from Middlesbrough, its not so far but I cant drive so might as well be a world away.

I been reading this forum for a while now but haven't really posted, I guess because you regular posters seem so close it almost feels like im intruding (although you all do make new comers feel very welcome so that's not a dig btw :p) I'm just not very good at being the new girl.

I notice your location is Hampshire? One of my few very good friends (I say friend, I just blocked him on msn :/ lol) used to live there, right near where the family that makes guiness lives! Its a real nice place.

Sorry for the off-topic posts :P I'm not usually so gloomy, just having one of them days.. :)

I walk in the door at night with ten things to do... immediately check in here, and nothing else gets done. I feel I DESERVE this!! When my children were young, I d put them to bed, and sew or paint, or strip furniture till 2am. Loved It. Im old now. Early to bed , early to rise... grateful for a hot bath and my comfy bed. Not too much time to pursue hobbies.. But its ok.

Just like my best friend nickname catbird aka squirrell.... down in Georgia. If I would cook dinner.... she would squeeze my feet.. What a friend!!! I havent had the slightest little squeeze since November 22 when I came back to Virginia.

Hi again embers *waves* oh, and btw......

to the garden!!

I think a lot of us take a while to dabble our toes in here, but jump right on in because its fun once you do it! Like a lot of scary things - it's not so bad once you've done it once! hehehe :D

I don't drive either, so I know what a total pain that is! I always cycle locally, but to go further afield I rely on trains and buses ( which is not ideal when its pouring with rain!) I also fell off the dratted bike just before Christmas (duh!) and still have a gurt big scar on my knee!

Whereabouts in Hampshire did your friend live? I wonder if its near me?

Chin up hunny, we all have crap days, just tell us all about it and we'll have a good laff....no..oops! I mean...we'll commiserate! Whew! yup, that's what I meant! hehe

Pull up a chair and tell us what makes you happy, sad, laugh. The boys will want to know about that time when your bikini top came off on the beach and the gals will sit and natter over coffee and keyboards. Post away, hun, cos you're nearly into double figures and not a newbie any more! hugs to ya! :-6
