I found an interesting "Plagiarism Resource Site" administered by a professor from the University of Virginia. On that site are two threads "Plagiarism in Henry County" and "Profiting From Plagiarism?" that proves two liberals in that local area have been using plagiarism and other frauds as a means to put forth, and/or advance their liberal agenda. http://www.plagiarism.phys.virginia.edu

I firmly believe our best is brought out by honest and open debate. I think the use of plagiarism in debate brings out the worst. It exhibits the lowest uncommon denominator... intellectual dishonesty. In my opinion, if you are so insecure in your political beliefs that you must steal someone else's work to pass off as your own, you shouldn't even be in the debate. Leave it to those that have their own original ideas and work. These plagiarists discredit their party.

Hello Chipt. I use a plagarism program to check studnet papers, it is quite schocking to realize how many of them are copied straight off the net-they don't even change any of the words!

I appreciate the kind words of welcome. I chose the "crazed baby" avatar because I just had a plate of "ChiptBeef" before I registered. :wah:

The plagiarism thing caught my eye because, no matter what your political affiliation, we should all be willing to debate honestly. Following "talking points" loosely is one thing, but repeated plagiarism is something entirely different, in my opinion.

Sorry for everyone having to do extra digging to get to my information, but I want to honor forum rules to the best of my ability. I got an error message about not being able to post url's until I have made 15 posts. That won't take long, as interesting as this forum seems to be.

It's good to get a welcome from a "senior member." Your username says it all in a good way. I try not to get caught up in left, right or party affiliation. It's clear that there are serious issues on both sides in this Abramoff scandal. I wish those that are guilty, and the know who they are, would come out a accept responsibility and save us all the tooth pulling in order to get to the truth.

It looks to me like some of them [politicians] were all in the same bed, kind of like we did growing up, only they had different ideas and there was a much different outcome. I think we will find there's been enough corruption in this thing to cover many Democrats and Republicans like a blanket. One question is who will have the integirty to come forward and come clean before warrants have to be issued? :-5

To Benjamin - The plagiarism was from news articles or editorials from newspapers, the internet and even at least one published book. I don't consider the amount and number of occasions of plagiarism proven as "some obscure little bit of information," as you claim. However, you have a right to your own spin.

To Jives - So I'm guilty by association after only a few posts? When have I "continually posts other peoples writings" as you allege? Isn't it common practice for forum posters world-wide to reference other sites were they get information? Where did the intense hostility in your post originate? What have I done in those few posts to rate such a tirade? Perhaps we should just agree to disagree and move forward.

Plenty of Butter (or equivalent if you prefer)

Method

1) Empty the Baked Beans into a small saucepan

2) Prepare a pan to either poach, or fry the eggs (your choice, but poached is better)

3) Start toasting the bread. How many slices is of course up to you, and your appetite at the time, but at least 2 slices each are needed for the beans, plus any additional slices for the Jam later.

Note: While the toast is toasting, donÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t forget to make a large pot of tea. It is an absolute fact that you cannot eat Beans on Toast, without lots of tea.

4) Once the toast is Ã¢â‚¬Å“onÃ¢â‚¬ gently warm the beans, and start to cook the eggs.

5) As the toast is done, place it on pre-warmed plates, and apply lots of Butter to taste

6) Pour half the beans on each plate, spreading them over the 2 slices of toast.

7) Place the cooked eggs on top of the beans, sprinkle a little pepper, (a if you prefer, maybe a dash of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce), and enjoy.

The extra slices of toast you prepared you can now enjoy with your favourite Duerr's Jams or Preserves
