Something Gross

A week and an half ago, on a Sunday, I went to Winn Dixie. When I got home and started putting groceries away, I realized that my frozen chicken and imitation crab meat were not there. I called the store and was told to come back with the receipt and that they would replace the frozen meat for me. I went back to the store and got the meat replaced.

For about a week or so, there's been this strange smell in my living room. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I noticed that when I stopped in front of my entertainment center, it smelled the strongest.

During this time I also had an anole (a tiny lizard) in my house that got chased into the wall by my cats. I thought that, maybe, the lizard died in the wall and that that was what I was smelling.

Tonight when I got home from work, the smell was stronger still right at the entertainment center. I looked behind the entertainment center this time. There it was -- a plastic bag.

It was the bag of "frozen meat" that I couldn't find a week and an half earlier. It was runny, smelly and had magots and little flies on it. (I live in Florida, so you can imagine.) I ran the bag right outside to the trash and scrubbed the floor and back of the entertainment center with disinfectanct and killing magots all the way. Then while I was cleaning, I noticed that some live magots dropped off of the bag on top of the entertainment center from when I was examining the bag. I had to literally smoosh them up with a disinfected soaked paper towel. Yuk! What a mess!

My cats had obviously knocked the bag of meat down behind the entertainment center when I wasn't looking a week and an half ago. I thought I had left it at the store or in the shopping cart in the parking lot, or something.

Wow was it gross :yh_sick

I keep walking back and forth through my odor-free living room now and appreciate it more than ever! It only took another five hours or so to air everything out.

When I lived with two other roommates one of us was a disgusting slob. Me and Jenn always cleaned up after this sloppy girl! One day, we were like, enough. Lets not clean up after her and see what she does.

Well, she left a frying pan on the stove FOREVER with a lid on it slightly tilted. It probably set there for almost a month. This slob went on vacation for a week and Jenn and I just couldnt take the mess for that long so we cleaned the apartment. I went to wash the frying pan and lifted the lid and ...dahn dahn...dahn...there it was: month old beef strognoff with maggots all in it!!!!!!!!! We just threw the whole darn pan away! I would have thrown the whole darn stove away if I didnt live in an apartment and owned the house!!! Our lease was up a month later and Jenn and I moved to a 2 bedroom instead of a 3 bedroom (needless to say). Oh and this sloppy %$#@& was a theif too!

I had this infection once from not "wiping" my arse correctly and the first sign of infection is a nasty smell. Needless to say Ive been cured and I smell nice.:yh_rotfl

I only told you people about this to make Snoozie feel better about sharing something embarrassing. How do you think I felt in front of that doctor? At 27 years old I cant wipe correctly? She was probably thinking, "Lady, you dont need kids!" (Ive been trying to get pregnant for a year now).

Years ago, I worked as a legal secretary. One day, I had a terrible hacking cough.

Well, I coughed for a spell, and it forced a little bit of urine out of me. I couldn't exactly go home because of it. I couldn't really do anything. I was stuck for the day.

When my one boss was standing over my shoulder dictating a letter, I know he caught a whiff of urine. I could see it on his face, and his vocal tone changed. I was so embarrassed, but hey, I was sick with a bad cough.

I could have gone into the bathroom and thrown my underwear out, I guess, and wiped the inside of my pants with a wet and soapy towel, which still would have been an uncomfortable mess for me. I didn't even think of doing anything like this at the time. I just felt really lousy.

What else could I have done?

You could have told him you were living out of your car and if he didn't give you a raise soon, things would be getting a lot worse................

I used to do insurance restoration work in Florida. (construction) A lady had died but it was 9 days before anyone noticed and smelled her. She lived in a trailer and the electric had been turned off, plus she bloated. It was a real doozy. We had to go in and eliminate the stench. Thats my gross story.

There was a little girl in my class *Karen* I used to pull her hair because I had a crush on her. Anyhoo, one day she had to get in front of the class and read her report on the cotton gin and she peed herself then ran out of the room. I dont really have a point here though.

Except maybe to say she was pretty and me and her brother would sometimes smoke cigarettes in the doghouse.

when i was 12 white pleated skirts were all the rage. well one day i started my first period in school and my white skirt looked like a slaughterhouse........i ran out of class sobbing, and a kind teacher followed me into girl's room to comfort me. i went home. not really gross, just human.

Woolfy and Snooze, I was unpacking the car and bringing the groceries in. The top of my entertainment stand had room for groceries, so I set bags there while I was getting everything into the house from the car. The cats obviously knocked the plastic bag with the chicken and imitation crab meat in it down behind the entertainment center when I was unloading the car.
