We must teach our children to be aware of potential dangers, and that goes for iffy celebrities, deep water or any other situation.

All the major monotheistic religions see women as subservient to men and of lessor worth but play it down since they have to exist in secular societies. They also preach intolerance and that those not of their religion are going to hell. Couldn;t mak it uo could ou.

My learned Scottish friend, gmc, something has changed though hasn't It.
We've always had child abuse In the church, then the scandal broke over child grooming and then Operation Yewtree. So It covers a whole spectrum of race, religion, colour and creed. There Is something Inherently rotten but so difficult to define to one race, one religion. The only common denominator Is the silence. The silence In the church, the celebrity era, and now with Muslim Grooming gangs.
How we stop that silence Is the key to stopping It.

I have a Pakistani Post Master In the village Post Office. When I first met him, he couldn't wait to tell me he was one of the first wave Immigrants under Harold Wilson's Government. He was so proud to be part of this great country. He was grateful for the opportunity he was given to get out of poverty and build a better life. He praised the hospitality and friendliness of the British people for welcoming him. He joined the Labour Party.
He now says he's ashamed. If anyone doubts this, I'll give you his phone number as he'll tell you himself.
He's ashamed that the country who gave him all those opportunities has now spawned a generation that despises us and everything our Western Society stands for. That's the thanks our parents and grandparents have been given.
So something has changed.
Now we are on high terror alert. As much as you critisize the far right, It's fact this would never have happened under a far right government. We would never have Invaded ME countries and sowed the seeds of hatred spewed by hate preachers on our streets. We would have Immediatly deported anyone who was fairly convicted of a serious crime. We would have Immediately stripped anyone going to Iraq or Syria to fight of their British Citizenship meaning they'd be deported the minute they flew back on our soil. We'd have deported the likes of Anjem Choudrey.
On high terror alert due to governments not fit for purpose. Wishing to arm Syrian rebels last year. Rebels who are now ISIS and will turn the weaponry on us If we have to Intervene to stop genocide.
Yet, hey, when people like me point this out.... we're racist.

The director of children’s services implied to me that young girls who were being raped were “making lifestyle choices”. She later admitted to an incredulous home affairs select committee that she’d never met any of the victims.

I've got to the point now, where I've read so much, seen so much, been told so much, that I don't care any more.

If It Is thousands of children affected, 10 years from not, there's going to be thousands of very angry young people In society, full of anxiety, fear, resentment and a hatred for authorities. Many of the victims as young as 10 have also been force fed alcohol and drugs.
10 years from now, society will be sneering at these young people for not being able to hold down a job, possibly alcoholic, possibly drug addicts. Some may never over-come their demons and commit suicide.
In this country, we have just one unit with four places to professionally help traumatised victims.
We need to address this... now. The fall out from this Is going to enormous and our country can not expect to just turn these young girls back out Into society when they are really victims of a cult, and expect them to get on with their lives.
I say, cult, because cults use fear and control. These girls have been controlled for years and we are as a country expecting them to grow up, get a job and never look back.

It seems more than co-Incidence that here and In Pakistan, children are considered replaceable and of little worth. The only thing that doesn't add up here, Is that the abusers In our country are British born men who have grown up within our laws and should know better.
Something else, Theresa May, a lady I actually rate quite highly only very recently proposed that those who cover up or Ignore child abuse, to be prosecuted. A few weeks before the Rochdale scandal broke.... hmmmm that stinks to me.

However, by the tone of your post you are implying that ONLY Labour councillors were guilty. How many Conservative / Liberal or even (heaven forbid) BNP members were there - or was that from a BNP publication - in which there would be none - obviously.
Obviously you can't compare numbers against numbers, because of the vast difference in actually elected councillors, but on a proportional basis (n out of, say 100) how many candidates of ALL parties (whether they won their seats or not) have criminal records of Crimes of Violence against them?

Yes, we did have two cases, one In 2008 and Griffin dealt with them. Bit short of time now, but will compile some stats later from your list. I'll also send It one to our chap to see If he has these. As I said, he scours local city rags for news but could well have missed many.
