I don't get it? there was a thread that implicated white forums talk derogative about blacks ........... so in turn they can talk derogative words about whites. Well this is a pretty big forum and I've never noticed it myself, and I don't think it would last very long anyway .:-2 the aggression from these two members was overwhelming . AND NO I DIDNT LOSE MY COOL .....mainly because I had no idea what they were on about.

Speaking as one who has trailed his coat on occasion I'd go along with that, Patsy.

FB, I spent a week reading a book on Marcus Garvey, Black supremacy, Rastafarianism and the different versions of Back To Africa which have appeared over the last two centuries. The site you joined sounds just the place to discuss it, perhaps I could try joining. I'd make a thread about it here but I don't think I'd get as much from it. I'd been hoping there would still be one of Dr. Malachi Z. York's adherents to discuss it with but we mistakenly banned the last one months ago, much to my annoyance.

Most people seem to find it a little odd that I bear no malice of any kind to foreigners. It's just never bothered me even when I was in middle school there was a refugee from somewhere or other the other kids were telling me about and I've just gone "yeah, so?"

Why would it be odd to have no malice towards foreigners ?

Its a beautiful thing but to make a point of not being biased towards other cultures shouldnt really be a point at all, rather I think its the norm and the bigots are the exception.

Cultural differences are a strange thing if you make a big deal out of it. Living in the South it seems to be a group thing but one on one it's no big deal. Sort of like politics. People tend to blame the little people for what the big people say and do.

A girl used to work with us who was from the north and one day I jokingly called her a heifer. I thought her head would explode! She said where she was from "them was fightin' words". LOL! We explained to her that here it was just a word. But if someone called her a 'haint' she had our permission to clock them! :yh_rotfl

I don't get it. A haint is a ghost. Whats so bad about that?

I was in school in HOuston, Texas when they started busing kids from the inner city and vice versa..i dont miss those days..There were walk outs..big school fights..alot of kids got hurt..I remember the principle walking through the school with two black eyes after one such school riot..

The way I read it Abbey, they are derogatory terms for white people, but what is offensive to most people isn't the word, it's how the word is said....
