I wonder if I'll get banned for this. :wah: :wah: :wah: I'll ask Tombstone if he banned anybody when I see him in about 5 minutes. Should I do that?

sure you can ask, but I don't think it's our business, if admin made the choice then I think it's a private matter between them and members. Lets wait and see how it pans out.

Great point, Zinkster.
Tombstone: Did any of the members get permanently banned over the ugly incident we recently had in the Garden? I appreciate your response.
I sent the above in a PM to TStone.

Now don't you think that would put T on the spot??? In my opinion that would be awkward for him.

Yikes
Maybe I stepped over the line sending a PM about it to TStone.
I just thought that the truth might help us move on with it.

Is it time for an end of summer (OK, for the Aussies, an end of winter) garden party? Maybe that will get folks back.

I didn't mean to break the rule of making a PM public
I hope I don't get banned

Nononono don't think that Cherie,,, I just think some days matters of the admin level are best left out of the public eye, remember tis only my opinion.

So, if one of our friends is banned, shall we ban ourselves in protest? Or just say the heck with it and go light another candle for BR?

Exactly. And let your friends set their own timetable for return. I think all the public pleading for their return is a nice show of support but it keeps the dust up and may actually be making it harder for them to slide back in. Just my $.02

I thought the fracas was rather interesting. Kinda like watching a car wreck. But I cant see giving someone the power of ruining my day or turning me from something I enjoy.

Hi Everyone!
Jim asked me about banning, who's banned, etc. You know that I won't say much, but what I can say is this:
1. Jives - he's banned.
2. One other person was put on "silence" for 24 hours. That was a few days ago. (As promised in the Compost Pile sticky.)
3. No other regular is restricted here.
You need to understand that what you see is the very TIP of the iceberg. I spend most of my time thwarting network attacks, spam, and other unpleasantries - the vast majority you never ever ever see.
So...when it comes to conversations, feelings, moods, etc., that's all up to you! Discussions of life...

TWEET!!!! (Val makes "T" sign with hands)
There's a quite simple way to tell if someone has been banned, just
look at the "Member's List" in the bar at the top. If there is a
permanent ban, it will say under the user name. Temp "time-outs"
won't show but that shouldn't matter.
I can't speak for the rest of "The Five" (cute!

) and I was just
going to try and take care of it in pm but feel it needs more. My
ego is just fine, I did NOTHING wrong; nobody here made me leave,
not any newbie or oldie or in-betweenie.
I have NO wounds to lick. Okay?
Minks and AZ had it about right, as far as I'm concerned. Just let
FG go on as it does, and let "us" have our own timeline for coming
back. To slide right in here. I've pm'd and posted a little, Cher you
saw one... I've been doing checks on BR's thread so the family
didn't have the additional burden of seeing to it I got an email.
Flopster, no way in HECK did you fail me. I'm strong, I'm fine, I'm
no less than THE VAL.
Somewhere in the middle of the rowdy-dow's (my mom's phrase!!)
a much-beloved aunt died. It wasn't a shock, she was 78 years
old and had been a 2 or 3 pack a day smoker for 65 years. But
there are some things I have to deal with regarding that, and other
family type things that make me less able to devote too much time
to the Garden.
I've been in contact with Snooze and Clancy, Snooze sent me a
VERY funny "Thought for the Day" today. Clancy mentioned AL
so I think he's fine, too.
Alright? (Dusting hands together... turns, leaves... for now.)
(And btw, I'd like you to meet Val Gore... I invented Naked Fridays!)

-- and I think they just needed a breather.

Floppy has the wisest advice, we need to stay friends and be aware of what is going on around us. As far as I know, none of them are banned. I've talked to several of them the last few days here, and they chose to take a voluntary journey away from the Garden.
Val, I am thinking of you during this time................:-4
Minks is correct in saying there is plenty out there for us to have fun and be ourselves, until the rest feel comfortable in returning. Which I am hoping they will do soon, because I miss them.

Of course. Friends are friends, discussions are discussions, disagreements
are disagreements, and fights are fights.
How far should or would one go, if all the protagonists were here, in the flesh?

Oh perhaps a lot further but it's nice we kind of self governed ourselves today. We ought to be proud.
