New update:

Sister - Ecstatic to know she has a brother, wants to call and talk, then meet.

Mother - (If it is the correct one) Doesn't want anything to do with me, can't believe I'm even looking for her.:-1

Dad - So overjoyed he wants an immediate DNA test.

New information is coming in.

Mother: Carol - has had five kids. So I have five brothers and sisters.

Sister: Michelle - was adopted by the aunt, (mother's sister) which is presumably why she still knows our mother.

Dad: Ernie - Is really psyched to get a DNA test immediately.

Oh...and by the way.

1Lt. Jonathan St. Ives USAFR?

His original name was ....get this....

OK...new update, it's not that my mother doesn't want to see me, it's just that the family doesn't want to approach her since she's never mentioned any of this to them and they don't want to get caught in the middle.

Therefore the investigator is contacting her today.

I talked to my sister yesterday on the phone. We had a great talk, she runs the #2 rated steakhouse in California and is a wonderful person.

The family is kind of in shock right now, not only did they not know about me, they didn't know about the two other children that came before me.

As for the father, this is kind of cool. The name on my birth certificate was E.L. Scoggans, after a search of America....there was only ONE man in the country with that name. And he was in the area at the right time! But he says he did not know he had a child, so it may be that my mother never told him she was pregnant.

He is tickled pink about the whole thing.

Next step - DNA testing for the sister, the father and myself.
