Intersting comment, where I come from all North Americans have somewhat strange accents, and of course visa versa, what an interesting world we live in.

Struth - we were posting at the same time!!! !!!!!!!!!! And Ovid.. yes, indeed. Go raibh mile maith agat!!! There is a very fine piper round hereabouts .

On the subject of the noble feadog stain - I was climbing a hill here in the bush - far from anywhere.. and just happened to come upon a man coming down as I was going up.. And where we passed in the middle of the path, lay, sunning itself, an ginormous red bellied black snake. The man rolled his eyes at me, but said nothing. And I was in crazy mode (as usual) so pulled out the tin whistle I just happened to have with me and said in broad false Irish accent.. sure and I'll just be playin him a little tune and he'll be banished at once like the Good Saint did in Ireland. The man crossed himself and rushed off, muttering in a real Irish accent.. something about having encountered a real Bean Sidhe... !!!

Oops.. there's gotta be a question... um .. Did he???

This is a very fair question and one I must admist that has baffeled me for a long time, as I would assume that having purchased some cake, one is perfectly entitled to eat it, and not instead redistribute in some fashion it among the poorer members of society, (though that may also be an option is one so wishes). It leads me to believe that the French are indeed a somewhat strange (though beguiling) race of people.

Struth indeed my good woman. I would imagine that encountering a tin whistle playing celtic woman in the australian outback could be a jolting experience for a man that was unused to such things, I on the other hand would be well equiped to deal with such a situation, having spent many a night trying to seperate bodhran players in a blood-feud Irish death fight with little more than a shillelagh and a copy of the collected works of W.B. Yeats.

Thank you bez, I have been very very busy working and doing too much stuff at once, as usual, theer were also some difficult personal circumstances recently which you may habve heard about. I of course remain a loyal though now somewhat sporadic FG poster, though this can be annoying for some of my patients.

I would advise that you lay a small trail of cheesy crackers from your bedside to your drinking position, as they always are very desirable following a bottle or two of chardonnay. You should not encounter any further problems.

Thank you uncle kram, I am sorry that I was unable to champion your favorite roman poet, of course taste in all art is subjective and in this matter your opinion is as valid as anyone else's. Well, except perhaps Claudian himself, as he was very fond of himself apparently, and not vrey generous in his opinions of his peers.

I'm just guessing, but probably one of the early signs that your radarscope is wearing out is something I call "image fuzz-out." But I've never even seen a radarscope, so I wouldn't totally go by what I've just said here. Do you have a radarscope ?

Dearest Snooze, how wonderful to hear from you again, I am always pleased when you drop by. I must admit that being a European, I am not entirely aware what a woodchuck is, as I think thats an American term. I shall look it up, and ask some engineers and/or philosophers if there is some merit to your line of reasoning.

Well, Miss Boop, you must of course purchase a dyson vacuum cleaner to ensure that your bedtime fun is not disturbed by annoying pieces of tuc and cheddar. You are within your rights to ask your current lover to cough up at least 75 percent of the cost as you are already suppling the venue, the bed, and the pleasant conversation.

Ah yes, Arnold, I see that my absence has not dinted your rare wit, or somewhat worrying sexual peccadillos. If miss Boop wishes to sleep with a Dyson that I would presume would be perfectly acceptable, though of course engaging in any behavior other than that which is strictly platonic with a device that runs on a 240Volt mains supply may be seen as unwise. I would suggest a human lover as a default position, with perhaps some experimentation with less powerful household consumer durables for the more adventurous.

We have Roast, but during the week, theres only little old me here at the weekends and I'm sure not going to all that trouble cooking just for me!

The traditional sunday roast and big family meals are certainly a thing of the past now.

Kind of....it's hot here (Calif) and we have had some fires and wind and the pollen is blowing everywhere, it's hazy foggy....I have COPD (Chronic obstructive Pulmonary Disease) which is asthma, bronchitis, emphysema......

It is something that seems to be getting worse as time goes on......

anyway's about the family dinners, it's sad to think that they are pretty much of the past. I wish I could go back for a day and see everyone again.....and this time I would eat some more of that stuff I didn't like back then.:o
